After Heenan switched to commentary they clearly just stopped giving a crap about Barbarian. Went from getting a decent midcard push to possibly being the lowest heel on the depth chart of guys who were working regulary. Haku was lower then him but after WrestleMania he was pretty much part time as they had him working more for Tenryu's SWS promotion that they had a business relationship with at the time. Warlord definitely had more going for him by post Mania VII but I would say early on they were higher on Barbarian in that he got the higher profile manager after Fuji sold them and also got a showcase win at Mania VI while Warlord was left off the card completely. Also, Warlord was originally left off the Summerslam card, too. The original plans were Tito v. Rick Martel. |

Hey, illicit tobacco is underrated as far as contraband goes. Especially in a place that taxes it as much as Canada that the people who smuggle Heroin into the US, smuggle ciggies instead into Canada. It's also a great revenue source for middle eastern terrorists. They’d have been downright cheap back then. Plus the First Nations don’t pay tobacco taxes, so they are the people to get your cigarettes from. Though that’s pretty illegal. Yeah, anyone in the know isn't dealing with smugglers, they're heading to the reserve to buy a big bag of tobacco and rolling their own cigarettes. Way safer way to break those laws. My mom had a boyfriend who was definitely on some illegal stuff and even he went to Kahnawake for his tobacco. Generally, terrorist tobacco smuggling nowadays seems to be a state-by-state thing much more than a cross-border thing |
