Bumping this as I made reference to it since yesterday. I wonder if he knew something was up with his health? He was still scheduled for a show this weekend in New York called "Big Event" and also scheduled for Wrestlecon during WrestleMania weekend. Honestly, I'm not trying to put down any particular convention but some of these small comic cons really don't go to great lengths to make sure the talent appears. King Kong Bundy had done Big Event a few times in the past so I'm sure he would have done this weekends show if he had lived, unless an emergency came up. Yes ..but I was wondering, maybe he had a health scare that weekend, then recovered? Then, well, you know. I guess we'll never know until the news comes out about a cause.

When I met Bundy in Niagara falls a few years ago he had health issues and missed the first two days of the con and then appeared on the third. He was very apologetic but nobody held it against him.

I drove 90 minutes to a Big Event show a few years back, hoping to finally get Sid’s autograph on my belt. He of course no-showed despite being advertised the day of, yet my refund request fell on deaf ears. He’s booked again this weekend but it’s not worth the risk being burned twice for admission
