Doesn't he just wrestle the same, but with makeup on? I prefer to think of the demon makeup as Finn just bringing more drama, and an aspect of psychological warfare to a match. Perhaps he didn't think it would work with Brock.

Now whether or not they do is another story but the built-in story is there.
