I love her, and I think she should definitely get top star treatment.
It's just when people start saying she should win the men's rumble, make Brock tap out, and start fantasy booking by inserting her into everything. Granted I know some of it is just hyperbole, but I think alot of it might actually turn people off of her.
I try not to be contrarian either, but the way people act about her online made me hesitant to give her a chance. Luckily I did and I'm a big fan now.
And when people say she's the next Stone Cold, I say she's not. She's the first Becky Lynch.
As for the actual topic, I think everyone else answered it better than I could. She's just a kickass wrestler with an attitude and a cool look. Lots of charisma.

she acts like they would want to act if they had her platform Nailed it. That is the core of most successful characters.

In addition to all the other things said, she has this indescribable "it" factor that makes her a star.

I had the same thing happen with my perception of Paige and Alexa Bliss. So I can definitely see where you're coming from there.

I think it is a lot to with the times too. In the 90s everyone wanted to kick their boss’s ass, so Austin was a perfect representation. Now, we all have learned we have to make it work in this corporate structure, but we would love to be able to tell our annoying coworkers that take all our credit to F off. Becky does that on social media and tv constantly.

Because in terms of what WWE typically cares about, both Becky and the fans are treated like red headed step children.

I like becky, but I don't really get it either. Yea, the bloody nose was badass, but alot of this "The Man" stuff that she's doing is starting to feel forced, like that skit where she stopped to drink the weird mixture Otis was drinking. And to me, I don't really buy her badass routine, she looks like she's playing a role that I can't get lost in... and I certainly don't think she's the next stone cold.

Almost exactly the same reasons as Daniel Bryan, plus she's got a badass swagger I haven't seen in 2 decades. The Steve Austin comparisons are apt.

Remember Austin?
Remember DB?
Yeah, it's like that. Becky has had one of those lightning in a bottle type moments where she's in tapped into the pulse of the fans and has become their avatar for all intents and purposes. Like how Austin was the figurehead of a movement of a bunch of angry, angsty teens and 20 something's that were ready to rebel and Daniel was the figurehead of a movement of a bunch of people tired and fed up & ready for a change, Becky has become that for a majority. It's the every(wo)man underdog story that for as good as wrestling can be at manufacturing things at times it can't create in as earnest as this, or when it happened with Austin, or with Bryan.

Now that I've explained why I love Becky, I'm going to post a couple of my favorite GIFs.

She's carrying herself with an intensity and anger in her performance that I haven't seen in any performer in a LONG time. It makes her stand out in a remarkable way.

She also feels genuine in everything ,when she limped back in the ring and yelled that Charlotte would never take anything away from her again ,you can feel her fire ,her sympathy and drive to win.

It's really simple, in this era, there are different sets of women that garner animonsity from some fans:
The chosen ones, like Ronda and Bliss
The ones with connections, like Nia Jax
And the ones who would have gotten pushes in the diva era, like Carmella
Then there's the one who arguably fits all three: Charlotte Flair.
Becky on the other hand arguably fits none of those, and has gotten screwed over many a time by women of all three categories. Despite always having fans, she just couldn't break the glass ceiling.
It took snapping at the one who embodies all that animosity, and inviting the fans to live vicariously through her warpath, to make The Man.
She's also the one Horsewoman who hasn't had her time in the sun. Bayley and Sasha had NXT, Charlotte has had them on all brands.
It's now Becky's time, and she has taken the ball and run with it.

I think people liked her and wanted more out of her in the company and started voicing thier desire to see her more prominently featured.
It’s a lot like what happened with Daniel Bryan. Unfortunately the fans really need to be obscenely loud before WWE takes note and listens

She has always been over with the fans but WWE grossly miscalculated how the fans would react to Summerslam. To go with that Becky started to become a badass on twitter and fans loved it
