It's been kind of a trend over the past few weeks anyway but it really is nice how much better the company feels when each segment isn't taking place in its own little pocket of the world.
Nakamura cheating to beat Rusev combined with Becky losing to Asuka allowed Becky the chance to enter the Rumble. That was further set up by Sasha after losing to Rousey making a point of signalling to her that the other Horsewomen are coming after her. Then after that tactic worked out well for Becky Nia decided to try the same thing in the men's Rumble.
That's both Rumbles, both women's title matches, and the US title match all connected to each other. It all just makes the product as a whole feel much more alive.

Yea that was something that is flying way under the radar
Majority of the shit they did made sense and fit into majority of the show. Rusev losing the U.S. title impacted himself and Lana
Nia Jax did what she did because she thought she could one up The Man and it ended badly for her

It was really awesome to see genuinely.
The fact that they were able to do this on the fly tells me that they've been capable of it all the time, they've just been lazy and letting the quality of their product slip because f*** it, who cares, right?
Vince is a lazy sack of creative void. For a guy who doesn't sleep, he sure doesn't spend a lot of time working on the show.
He should be embarrassed of himself.

When's the last time we had an entire show interconnected top-to-bottom like that?
No Way Out 2009?

It's the kind of thing that helps me buy WWE's "setting" more, which is vital for suspension of disbelief.

I really love it when more than one story is woven in. It occasionally happens with single wrestlers like when Owens had like six feuds going on at once.

It's the kind of thing that helps me buy WWE's "setting" more, which is vital for suspension of disbelief. Yeah, I’m not expecting deep engrossing storytelling or anything but it’s as simple as “Things that happen to one people can affect others in the vercitity rather than be treated as separate things”. So if a main eventer attacks a random dude, that dude won’t be able to be in a match on the next segment so someone would take his place etc.
