ROUND ONE:
1919-1922-----Nosferatu 1923-1926-----The Phantom of the Opera 1927-1929-----The Man Who Laughs
1930-1932-----Frankenstein 1933-1934-----King Kong 1935-1936-----The Bride of Frankenstein 1937-1939-----Son of Frankenstein
1940-1941-----The Wolf Man 1942-1943-----Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man
We continue even deeper into the 1940's (and the end of WWII), and the third part of that decade, 1944-1945. Vote for your favorite, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.
We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

The Monster Maker is my vote. Mad Scientist, Caged Gorilla Servant, blackmailing deformed people created by said scientist. What more could you want?
More original than another sequel to the Frankenstein movies.

The Mummy’s Ghost. Thought it interesting that they’d go with an ending where the mummy wins.

THE MONSTER MAKER is so messed up for its time. The mad scientist gives a guy a body-distorting disease (acromegaly) and won't reverse the process unless that guy's daughter agrees to marry him. I'm tossing my vote that film's way.
THE MUMMY'S GHOST is pretty cool. I love that downer ending.
HOUSE OF DRACULA is the last "serious" Universal Monster picture of the decade. ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN would come out in 1948, but a lot of old school horror fans don't count it as part of the series.

Damn! The first absolute shocker happened in this one, as The Monster Maker ended up clubbing down the Universal Monsters to win this one. I've never seen it, but I will definitely change that ASAP.
I wound up voting for House of Frankenstein, which is the better of the two "Monster Team Up" movies to come out during these two years. Mostly due to Boris Karloff (Playing a mad scientist) being in the cast with Lon and the others. House of Dracula isn't bad, though, but it was getting pretty clear by this point that the UM were on their way out.
Speaking of, The Mummy's Curse/Ghost were decent, but not as good as the Team Up movies, IMO.
Okay, that being said, onto the end of the 1940's, 1946-1949 (the huge gap showing that horror kind of hit the skids during this part of the decade. I guess everybody was too happy that WWII ended to want to be frightened. However, that would start to change one they had kids, and we'll see that happening in the next decade, but first....the end of the 1940's.
