OK, now I'm in the weird position of not knowing what personal views Ronda has given or about what, but knowing not to ask because it would likely lock the thread. Can I get a hint? Sandy Hook crisis actors.

They're certainly trying to defend Ronda against negative feedback. What do they expect from us? That we cut our hair to wash her feet?

What?

The real life views don't check out when Brock, Bo and others get free passes. To be fair, nothing Brock could do in his personal life could get anywhere near as much hate from the fans as only showing up to defend the belt three or four times a year (tops) in phoned-in squashes.

That might be third on the list of reasons at most, behind “Is feuding with Becky Lynch” and “Problematic real-life views and attitudes”. I'm not aware of any problematic views other than Sandy Hook and I'm not sure a majority of the audience has any idea what Ronda's views are on anything, so I don't think that plays as big of a role in her getting booed as other issues. I couldn't care less what her views are on anything, as long as she's entertaining between the ropes. Getting pushed too hard is the main one (like Cena or Roman) mic skills is another, and the fact that she's feuding with Becky is the topper.

She's going up against the hottest face in the company and every thing she says online to her comes off as mega-heelish.
Everything she posts on her instagram or twitter comes off as cocky sports asshole, but that doesn't really work for her. She just doesn't know how to play a face all that well. It becomes more obvious the more she gets booed (and then resorts to those tactics in her promos on TV).

Picking Kevin Durant to name on a list of people who get unfair hate isn’t the best idea. Dude is super thin skinned and so much so he made fake twitter accounts to attack fans even attacking 15 year olds He also says some dumb shit.

I like Ronda a lot more now than I did when she was a fighter in the UFC.

I respectfully disagree with Mark Henry here. People who “hate” top athletes in team sports largely hate the fact that the team in their city is either losing to said great one’s team, or they wish they had the great ones on their team in their city.
If Lebron James or Tom Brady was coming to the haters’ team, they’d buy their jerseys the day they signed.
Backlash in the WWE is largely because the fan base knows that the company has their ideas on who to push and how to do it. The backlash is one of their avenues to make their voices heard. It has nothing to do with perceived “greatness”.

I don't dislike Ronda (I don't know enough about her problematic views to have an opinion), and I think she's done a really good job of transitioning to pro-wrestling. But I like Becky more, and I think Becky deserves to come out on top because she's put in a lot more work, and sacrificed a lot more, to get where she is. I also think her work is better than Ronda's.
But I think Ronda's problem is that she's been around for a year, and she's not evolving. She's not facing challenges that force her to adapt, overcome and grow. Just like Cena didn't, just like Reigns and Lesnar don't. They're just dominant, and people find that boring after a while.
Mark Henry is selling a company line, here. Most ex-WWE wrestlers who still want a relationship with the company do.

While her personal views do play a factor. Something about her has always rubbed me the wrong way, and as far as WWE in particular...she's had good matches I can admit but she's so damn BAD on the mic it's painful.

I imagine it's the stuttering promos and smarky crowds not being very forgiving. The real life views don't check out when Brock, Bo and others get free passes. The only one who didn't was Big Cass, and he was a special kind of talent, devoid of talent or charisma, to justify keeping around. Making bad judgment calls like beating up a midget helped get him tossed out faster.

Making bad judgment calls like beating up a midget helped get him tossed out faster. With Big Cass a lot of it also comes down to having zero words out of his mouth to the tune of it. When Brian Kendrick said weird things implying he may not have thought the holocaust happened, he at least said them in an interview with his mouth parts. If I remember correctly all anyone had to go on with Cass was backstage reports it was causing strife with the rest of the locker room, and aside from not having any actual verification of that there's also no words being said to actually really judge, so it simmers under the surface as an accusation and not much more. Especially since of course it will forever be overshadowed by the fact homeboy thought it was a good idea to big league a dwarf to impress his boss

I hate when people in the industry try to explain why those outside of the industry dislike someone. You don't know us fans. It's worse than that. They know the fans who don't know what boundaries are, and who hound them relentlessly. Those fans? They know intimately. It's when they view that as more generally applying that you get the paternalistic crap from them.

"Great" in the sense of "Looked really dominant in another sport, then got exposed in one fight that collapsed her entire career, and then went to WWE because she had nothing else she could do" "Great".
