ROUND ONE:
1919-1922-----Nosferatu 1923-1926-----The Phantom of the Opera 1927-1929-----The Man Who Laughs
1930-1932-----Frankenstein 1933-1934-----King Kong 1935-1936-----The Bride of Frankenstein 1937-1939-----Son of Frankenstein
1940-1941-----The Wolf Man 1942-1943-----Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man 1944-1945-----The Monster Maker 1946-1949-----House of Horrors/Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein (tie)
1950-1954-----Creature From the Black Lagoon 1955-1956-----Invasion of the Body Snatchers/Night of the Hunter (tie) 1957-----------The Curse of Frankenstein
We edge closer and closer to the decade that would change horror into what we know it as today, the 1960's, but first there's a couple years to get through first, and this is one of those two, 1958. Vote for your favorite, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.
We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

Yeah, sorry. I'm taking these off of two different lists now, so, there might be some repeats here and there. Anyways, yeah, not surprised to see Hammer's Dracula as the lead (as that got my vote as well....Christopher Lee is such a pimp as Dracula, and an EVIL Dracula to boot. No romantic/sympathetic feelings for the main bloodsucker here. Not surprised to see the original Blob doing well here either, although, I figured the original Fly might do better than it did. We also got a glut of more sci-fi/horror drive in movies, some of which got votes here, which is cool. Ah well, one more year of the 1950's to go; 1959, and then it's on to the 1960's.
