If I was current US champ Nakamura I’d be “oh. Eh..huh. Ok.” R-Truth is the current US Champ.

If Rusev were to leave WWE, the first promotion to book him vs Ishii would forever have I support.

That last line about how he loves being a heel gives me solace that he’s quite alright with the turn.
However, it was still dumb to do and it had no business happening. Don’t get me wrong, Rusev’s heel promos are what made me like him, but you can’t possibly look at this two month babyface venture and suddenly turn him back. To align him with someone who hurt his wife is even more ridiculous as he always went to bat for Lana. It’s even more ridiculous that Lana is alright with this as she was shown cheering the two on. It just doesn’t make sense and seems like something called on the night of.

Rusev is the guy that needs to be trying to leave WWE.

Rusev is definitely one of the better big men to come along in the last decade. He's got a great look, incredibly convincing and intimidating, and can work his ass off. I would seriously love to know management's justification for giving this guy the short end of the stick, but it'd probably just make me even more annoyed. I've always said there's something for everyone with Rusev. Looks like a beast, excellent on the mic, great in the ring and he does comedy well. It's interesting that he says he prefers being a heel, because I actually think he's better as a face.

I really can't believe the US title was the first title he's ever held, this late in his WWE tenure and pretty much after he had been forgotten as an entity by management. Jesus.

I'm not even a big fan of his, but damn I want to see this dude in AEW now. Even if I still don't like him, many other folks do, and he seems like a good dude. I'd love to see him somewhere where he has a shot.

Especially when you hear his reaction to the crowd chanting "Rusev Day" in the WWE 24 episode on Wrestlemania 33. He seemed almost giddy over the fact that fans were cheering him rather than booing. I'd have thought he loved being a face, because he seems like a guy who really enjoys being liked.

As much as he could murder me without breaking a sweat, dude's just like a big teddy bear.

There is either a work of enormous effort happening for little resolve, or pretty much half, if not more, of the WWE roster is depressed as hell.

Rusev one of the best actors in the company too Did rusev ever turn face after he got rusev day over? I haven’t been watching Yes around the summer time until his heel turn on last weeks Smackdown. Cool well at least he got a face run I guess

Yes he's that shallow

It really makes little sense-here is one guy who can do everything. He is charismatic, talented, has comedic timing too. He's one of the few that could work a believable stiff program with Lesnar also, yet here we are. Sad.

Some things are just really hard to explain. Apart from the in ring stuff, he's a handsome guy. He's huge and jacked and not a vanilla midget. The crowd has a chant for him so it's not like he's putting on 5 star werk ratez matches in dead silence and it's just super smarkz wanting him pushed. You can say it's similar to Cesaro but Rusev is a way better talker than him. He even has a wife who's a good talker too and is also good looking. You'd think it would be a marketing dream. It's a cliche but sometimes you really have to wonder if Vince just doesn't want to push foreign guys sometimes.

But he really has come a long way in that department.

To be honest I haven't actually seen a lot of his Smackdown promos recently but I think his talking style is more suited to the one on one interview than the in ring monologue thing. Like his post match promos in the MMC were hilarious. Maybe not the "Vince" humour though.
