He head further into the 1960's with the true beginning of the Kennedy Administration in the White House, 1961. Vote for your favorite, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.
We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

I went with KONGA, because Michael Gough makes both a great mad scientist who turns an adorable chimp into a gigantic KING KONG rip-off and a lecherous professor with eyes for one of his buxom students. He's so conniving!

Gorgo is by far the best film here. A bunch of sailors kidnap a godzilla like creature to show off in london. Unfortunately the creature is actually an infant and the very pissed off Mother comes along to get it back and succeeds whilst wrecking London in the process. Mothra is decent but not my favorite. Pit and the Pendulem despite being well know I find kind of dull. I haven't seen Konga The Innocents is on my list to watch at some point. Creature from the Haunted Sea is horrendously bad, but you have to love the actual monster. Look at him, he's adorable.

Yeah, it's pretty clear The Pit and the Pendulum is taking this one. This is the one I voted for as well, as, Vincent Price is the man, and with the addition of that awesome pendulum, are the main reasons to watch this one.
I also want to give some love to Mr. Sardonicus, which is cool little flick from gimmick master William Castle (the gimmick for this one was pretty cool, as audiences got to vote whether the rotten titular character got his just desserts or not....he did). Also, Curse of the Werewolf is pretty decent as well.
And then we got a lot of fun schlock. Bloodlust!, Creature From the Haunted Sea (with its Cookie Monster-esque "creature"), and, of course, The Beast of Yucca Flats, which makes Ed Wood's stuff look like Stanley Kubrick.
All right, on to 1962.
