I hate how it seems like everything I love ends up being shitty. I guess that's how things are now.

Restructure the contracts and tell Dorian to kick rocks. This is what all LU fans have been screaming for...because the issue is not but one single guy Yes we lose access to AAA talent it sucks but in the bigger scheme of things this is the best thing for the long term

They could either enter into a deal with CMLL, or sign guys on their own. Sounds like AAA had already burned bridges with a lot of LU talent.

His unprofessional shenanigans shouldn't be tolerated.

This is what happens when you end your season on Bad News Barrett.

Looks like no more LU tapings for me. It was fun while it lasted but yea, I wanna see a lot of this talent freely be able to flourish in more prospering avenues. Ima spill out some tacos and Coronas for the temple.

And this, folks, is why you don't sign contracts offered by a guy who sacrifices his underlings to Aztec gods, even if it sounds like a really unique opportunity.

I wonder if they'll even try to fight this in court or just give up and let the people out of their contracts.

Looks like some have known about this for quite a while. Damn just over 4 years ago. People have been locked into these and unable to work other promotions from the get go for peanuts.

I expected that this was going to happen, talent were never going to be happy putting career advancement on hold because they're tied to a show that may or may not be continuing. I've said as much in the past and been shouted down.
Wrestlers only have a decade or so of their peaks, they can't afford to spend years of that tied to a show that can go on hiatus for months on end without telling them a thing.

On the one hand, those contracts are scummy and non-enforcable if the courts rule in the wrestlers favour.
On the other, didn't they read them before signing, and if not understanding the legal lingo in them, have someone who does explain what they actually meant?

They probably didn't expect El Rey to jam their thumb up their ass and just decide not to air the recorded episodes for reasons known only to them, if I had to guess. It's simply inexcusable how long the show was off the air, and no one could have realistically expected it.

Even TNA on its worst days paid their talent more than that per year.
I remember Jesse Neal saying the payment in old TNA was so bad that he applied for foodstamps.

It depended on contracts. Jesse Neal and the Young Bucks were screwed over as they were pay per appearance so if they didnt work they didnt get paid... but to make it worse TNA would take multiple shows in a day and they counted that as one appearance if they taped 2 shows

What a dumpster fire. The first season was great but it was all downhill from there.

I give you the Roldán family, damn carnies. You have a great buzz, great matches and an utterly insane yet fun story. But of course the carny bullshit has to be pulled. Goddamnit.
