Was thinking the other day how pro wrestling etiquette would be so out of place at a 'real' job. My example was JBL at the first One Night Stand PPV. He legit beats up Blue Meanie unscripted leaving him bloody and requiring stitches. In a real job that employee would've been fired or possibly arrested. What happens in WWE? WWE doubles Meanie's pay for the night and gives him a match with JBL on Smackdown where JBL gets blasted with a hardway chairshot to the skull by Stevie Richards as a receipt. Problem solved.
Any other examples?

Real companies treat independent contractors like they actually are independent contractors.

Sometimes when the bosses want to fire someone they gather an audience of a few thousand customers and do it in public. This is often followed later on by some employees calling the customers fat and ugly and insulting their local teams.

People get jobs by winning matches, not by actually being qualified for a leadership role.

Bosses don't have their daughters stalked, tormented, abducted, and tied to a symbol for an unholy wedding, all to screw over the employee that makes them the most money.
I'm pretty sure that having somebody run over another employee with a car, would at least get you written up at work.
Their ladder safety, is in so many violations of OSHA.

Who hasn't ever wanted to see a Loser Leaves Town Match between Karen from Accounting (who always leaves a quarter cup of coffee in the pot so she doesn't have to refill it) and Peggy in Human Resources (who clocks your time in the bathroom).

On a more serious note, WWE is the only company I know of where previous experience in the industry and enjoyment of the product are seen as negatives for potential employees.

Disputes between staff are usually settled in private mediation, not steel cages.

I'm pretty sure when most companies hold a press conference they don't bring out a fat guy to randomly dance for no reason.

When I hit my coworker in the back with a chair, I didn't get promoted. Instead, I was escorted out of the building.

In other companies you can't walk around half naked.

"Why do you want to work here?"
"This field has always been a strong passion of mine, and a position in this particular company a personal goal. This is definitely a position that I would like to make a career of."
"What a ****ing mark."

Generally with real companies you see the shareholders forcing the ignoramus management running the company into the ground out (like pathetic viewership where hardly anyone watches anymore with WWE) . And generally all their management isn't one family these days running everything.

If you leave your job, you don’t have to be unemployed for 90 days, you can work straight away for another company.

If you leave your job, you don’t have to be unemployed for 90 days, you can work straight away for another company. Actually non-compete agreements are pretty common in the tech sector. The idea is to keep a just-released employee from taking internal info with them to a competitor. You might notice that this reason doesn't really fit with WWE, though.

Major deals are usually fully disclosed to shareholders. Like, usually this is a legal obligation.
