If you leave your job, you don’t have to be unemployed for 90 days, you can work straight away for another company. Actually non-compete agreements are pretty common in the tech sector. The idea is to keep a just-released employee from taking internal info with them to a competitor. You might notice that this reason doesn't really fit with WWE, though. Wow! I did not know this. How is someone supposed to live in that non-compete time? Do have to plan and save for your resignation? Very interesting.

If it's a termination for disciplinary reasons it's usually almost unenforceable though. Depends on the circumstances. Part of the reason most WWE guys are on with the no complete clause is because they get paid not to work for 3 months.

At a real company, workplace suspensions means you can't show up wherever you want at company events.

Handed your notice in and leaving soon?
Have deep, personal resentful issues with a co-worker?
Normal company - keep co-workers separate until one leaves
WWE - Montreal Screwjob

Bosses don't have their daughters stalked, tormented, abducted, and tied to a symbol for an unholy wedding, all to screw over the employee that makes them the most money. I'm pretty sure that having somebody run over another employee with a car, would at least get you written up at work. Their ladder safety, is in so many violations of OSHA. I hate wrestling.

Most real life combat sports don't allow shots to the back of the head, while in WWE, many guys do that as their signature moves.

Real sports dont put random celebrities in their hall of fame just because they were featured on a broadcast one time.

In a real company Big Show would have just sued for wrongful termination (and won!!!) And taken the money instead of agreeing to drop it to fight for the privilege to hold a shiny belt buckle.

Sometimes when the bosses want to fire someone they gather an audience of a few thousand customers and do it in public. This is often followed later on by some employees calling the customers fat and ugly and insulting their local teams. So, WalMart?

If I pick up an injury/illness during my time with the company as a result of working for the company, i would not expect the company to hold this against me and use it to keep me in the company longer if I signal my attention to leave.
It's also illegal to discriminate against someone once they formally hand you their notice.

This is so fascinating! I’ve never known if this outside WWE. I certainly stand corrected.

Real sports dont put random celebrities in their hall of fame just because they were featured on a broadcast one time. They do sometimes put in decent players who are friends with people on a committee.
