First of all, that "tdj" guy who started the thread seems like a weirdo. Definitely seems like someone who was obsessed with bad hairline analysis and derpy feet jokes and deleted himself because he took his satirical posts so far and was wasting too much time on this forum. Wonder what ever happened to him... hmm.
Anyway, I wanted to reflect back on this old post. At this point it really seemed like Becky was floundering, going from gimmick to gimmick, of course starting with that terrible Irish dancing jig. At this point I think she was a heel "rocker chick" aligned with Sasha banks and, quite frankly, I would have never expected her to become as big on the main roster as she is with current audiences.
It's pretty shocking to me comparing what I and many thought about her and/or the company 4 years ago to the fact that she realistically may end up main eventing Wrestlemania. Most comments seemed positive about her but pessimistic about how WWE handles females.
Not going to single out anyone by username (feel free to do that yourself if you posted in that thread back then) but some of the comments are super interesting..
Seems like it could be a possibility!
I 100% agreed with this take at that point but she certainly has found her stride and risen.
She pretty much is a tweener version of the first lol. But it seems to be working.
I find this take interesting as well. I've seen some people consider her even today with her current stuff forced and unnatural.
Interesting prediction as well. I know some people thought she was being sabotaged by Kevin Dunn because of her accent (maybe more so on Reddit than on here)... but it seems if that was going on, she's overcome it.
THESE quotes was really interesting to me. As hamfisted as the women's revolution/evolution was/is at times ('hey look at this first!' 'hey look at this first!' 'hey we have ronda rousey now!'), female superstars have come SUCH a long way compared to the way they were booked and perceived in early 2015. I think that's pretty damn cool.
So anyway, even if you weren't around back then or didn't post in that thread, did you ever think Becky would become such a big attraction in WWE? And, similarly, did you ever think that women in general would have such a higher stock in the company?
For me, it's an outright "hell no" for both. Becky isn't even my favorite female performer today... but it's pretty damn cool to see how things have played out for her so positively.

Becky Lynch should be the face of the WWE.
Seems like it could be a possibility!
I think there are simply too many ahead of her in the pecking order. There's a chance she'll stumble across something that will make her rise to the top or at least carve out her own niche but I can't see it at the moment.

The headbanging thing is weird, but whatever. At least it's not yet another "I'm an alpha bitch heel grr" or "Haha! Look at how quirky I am!" face.

She bores me stupid, personally
Everything about her comes across as forced and unnatural. The whole Lita knockoff gimmick especially and her heel turn & work isn't any more natural either

Becky's hot as hell, throws a good suplex, has a kickass finisher, and has a goofy sort of charisma. If she's unsuccessful in WWE it'll be entirely due to the company sabotaging her.

Anyways, no, I don't think she will, but only for the same reason that cripples every other diva: WWE's insistence to not push them or treat them seriously once they hit the main roster. And that's a shame, because from what I've seen of her, she is quite the talented ring worker and is nothing short of stunning in the looks department. Those two things are instant success for a female wrestler if she is booked properly, but back to what I said before--WWE doesn't book women properly on the main roster.
She's female.
She'll be as successful as a woman can possibly be in the WWE, which is not very.

She's a woman in WWE
She's got no chance.
