I'm a big fan of this new resurgence in filming King's msot famous works and hope this one turns out as wonderful as It was.

If this is the second trailer I know some people were complaining about spoilers. You should be fine if you’ve seen the original but yeah.

I love both the book and the 1989 film (I consider it one of the all-time great horror films, if I'm being honest), but I don't think I'm 100% sold on this yet. With all due respect, John Lithgow is no Fred Gwynne, and there was a little too much CGI for my liking in there. But I'll try my best to give it a shot when it comes out.

Not complaining about spoilers, but they seem to have made a change that I don't like.

Not complaining about spoilers, but they seem to have made a change that I don't like. I agree, I feel like the way that is portrayed in the book and the first film has far more emotional impact than what they did here.

Jason Clarke is an awesome an actor and John Lithgow’s taste in projects the last few years has been impeccable. Optimistic even if I didn’t love the trailer.

Let's face it, Gage in the movie was kind of silly (Achilles stabbing excluded) and they had to use other methods to film him. ew.com/movies/2019/02/07/pet-sematary-change/

And, I mean, don't get me wrong, the death of a child of any age is tragic, but I just feel like the emotional gut punch is far greater when it's a toddler in a freak accident like that. Whether you were reading the book or watching the movie, that just knocks you right on your ass. I can't speak to how they present Ellie's death here, as I obviously haven't seen it, but it seems like it'd be harder to explain why an older child who knows better would be playing in the road in the first place.

The movie just premiered at SXSW and the general consensus from most people is that they delivered a good remake. Lot of the praise seems to come from the child actress who plays the daughter and that the third act seemingly goes off the rails.

This is my favorite Stephen King book/movie, but yeah, I think I'm skipping this one. The change that was made killed all interest for me.
