it really wouldnt end. It would just change from "they shouldnt put her" to "they shouldnt have put her" And everyone has a right to feel that way. I just really hope it doesn’t go so far to where it actively ruins the match or ruins Becky’s feel good moment for some just because someone the majority of internet peeps find to be a nuisance is being added into it. The crowd are going to be on fire for it, the match will likely be amazing due to who’s in it, and will no doubt blow the roof off when Becky beats them both.
Right. And we have the precedent of Survivor Series where there were fears the pro-Becky crowd would hijack the match but the quality of Charlotte and Ronda's ringwork got them right into it even before the finish. Plus as the last several months have demonstrated, Charlotte's someone who will go that extra mile to help put Becky over.

Between this and HHH's prom the next night...yeah....it definitely feels like someone else took over the creative side of the story. And the incredibly annoying thing is, if they bungle this and Becky's popularity dies down, Creative and the McMahons will say, 'see, we were right to believe in Ronda and Charlotte. Becky wasn't that popular after all. We really got behind her, and the fans just weren't buying it.' I'd definitely have kept her off TV for at least one whole week - Raw and Smackdown - preferably two weeks. Have the commentators talk about her suspension and her injury, even have Steph give an angry promo about how ungrateful Becky was. Maybe tease that she's going to be there, but she doesn't show. Have Becky talk on social media about how she's taking this time to work out and get her knee right, so she's ready to beat Ronda. The WWE has completely lost its ability to pace a story. They rush everything, yet keep people wrestling in the same rivalries for months on end.

The second Becky misses a week, people would think, oh, WWE has taken this from Becky. They know for a fact people are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Of course they know. You also have to rely on Ronda to carry the feud's promos and, I'll take 40 Steph promos over one Ronda, "Becky's killing the diamond industry, and if I have to mash my tits into a wedding cake, I'll do it!" rambling traincrash.

They should know how to make her a big deal, even in her absence. The WWE has had no problem getting announcers to talk non-stop about John Cena or Roman Reigns, even when they weren't on the screen, or having heels go out and cut promos on babyfaces who aren't in the building. Or have Becky's music hit, only for it to be a fake-out, or for her to appear on the Titantron. Even pull the 'Becky bought a ticket for Raw' gag, and have her in the crowd but not 'officially' on the show. I mean, I want to see Becky on TV and getting the spotlight, but I just think they're threatening to make a mess of this storyline. They've got two months until Wrestlemania, and they've already used the 'babyface attacks the heel boss' bit twice, and played the 'suspension... but not really' card. However, I accept that there will be plenty of people who would think they were making a mess of it if they did have her off TV.

As much as I love seeing her, I like what they're doing with her right now where she only appears in one, MAYBE two, segments a show. If they kept it that way, I think I'd be fine. Also, she's totally going to beat up Vince next. “BEXPLODER ME OFF OF THE APRON AND ONTO THE FLOOR, DAMMIT.” "BEXPLODER ME LIKE THAT STUPID SPOT EDDIE EDWARDS AND DAVEY RICHARDS DID, PAL!"

Yeah, this storyline is kind of falling apart. The segment on SmackDown was a total mess and now they're already running the, "The Authority doesn't like Becky!" plot point into the ground by having three segments devoted to it in a two week span. Really it's ab out time, if you're going ahead with Becky being taken out of the match, replaced with Charlotte, then having to fight to get back in, to have her take a few weeks off. Really the only reason not to that I can see is that they already have one Rumble winner on the shelf as it is. My biggest problem with that segment was when Hunter told the fans, "Shut up, this doesn't concern you". It's not even two months since we were told we were in charge

When Austin was getting hot, he too would get “suspended” but he wouldn’t be missing shows. Have to ride them while they’re hot.

Like, in kayfabe, why should we all of a sudden trust the dudes who made 2013-2017 a living hell for the talent? It’s why Becky not trusting Stephanie/Triple H works and isn’t as far fetched as it may seem. Especially with their track record as dictators lol

However, I accept that there will be plenty of people who would think they were making a mess of it if they did have her off TV. This is one of those instances in which I wish WWE would try to put a wrestler on regular, non-wresting TV when he or she is written off the main product. For example, have Lynch show up to Late Night with Stephen Colbert and talk a bunch of kayfabe shit about Rousey, Stephanie, and Charlotte. Maybe Becky shows up on CNN and does a 15-minute interview segment with Larry King, in which she shoots about her history as a wrestler, but then ends the segment with her hyping her Wrestlemania match. Get The Man invited to the Captain Marvel red carpet Hollywood premiere to connect what's happening with women superhero movies to what's happening with women's wrestling. Anywhere and any time in which there are plenty of eyeballs of non-wrestling viewers fixed on something, Becky should be front and center to get them interested in the product. It's why the Summer of Punk 2011 wasn't as big as it could have been, because WWE couldn't or wouldn't push CM Punk in the regular media as the 'real WWE champion' at a time when his 'Pipe Bomb' promo was getting some buzz. Barring that one encounter at... Comic Con (?), when Punk confronted Triple H, WWE couldn't capitalize on something that should have been easy to promote. Keeping Becky off of TV, even for a week, could be used to grow the Wrestlemania match through different avenues. And because of how prevalent social media like Twitter and Instagram are today, when compared to 2011, it's probably even easier to capitalize on short-term media buzz and coordinate it into decent promotion of Lynch, her fellow competitors, and WWE's biggest show of the year.

One funny thing is that of all the McMahons, the one she should have a problem with is Shane. He was running the show during that entire time that (in her mind at least) Charlotte was being handed golden opportunities left and right while she was barely given scraps. She had a legit point when she brought up how long she went between getting a one on one title opportunity after her first reign whereas Charlotte had one almost the instant she was on the show. It's possible they may involve him at some point but then they're pushing him as a face, so having Becky lay into him may mess that up.
I still don't want Charlotte in this match (not taking anything from her, she's fantastic) but it's not the end of the world if she ends up in it as long as they finish this match right. I'm guessing the McMahons will shoehorn Charlotte in as their chosen one to stick it to that 'ungrateful' Becky.
One thing slightly unrelated to this that I want to see though is how the rest of the women on Raw react to Becky. She's punked them out two years in a row in invasions and now she may be moving to their roster. It'd be interesting to see the tensions though perhaps some of them might try to back her up at some point (because of past associations) but she's determined to go her own way. DTA and all that.

Many people also made the argument she should've been angry with Paige for giving Charlotte that SummerSlam opportunity, and I agree. If they wanted to go all in on Becky being a heel, they should've had her tease an attack on Paige since Paige wouldn't have been able to fight back due to her neck.
