I hate this. I really like Charlotte and if I could trust that The Man was gonna beat both they asses and walk out of Mania the Champ it would be different. But honestly, if Charlotte wins I won't even be surprised. Vince likes to give her everyfu***ingthing after all. Which is why Becky whipped Charlotte around for months at a time? Or when she took her title at HIAC? Or retained at evolution? Or took a DQ in the Ronda match? Or being whooped by Asuka? Or being beaten in the Rumble? Or being clocked in the face? For being Vince’s golden goose, he sute as a warped way of showing the people why they should love Charlotte instead.

People are so impatient today. We have around 6 weeks until Mania. We will still get Lynch VS Rousey. Lynch will wrestle Flair at Fastlane. The winner faces Rousey at Mania. So, just relax and enjoy the ride.

I really, really think they won’t be able to resist the urge to put the title on Charlotte. Gives her the honor and bragging rights and they think people will just want to see Becky win more. My money is on Charlotte winning this.

My question is: is being the daughter of Ric Flair really that big of a deal? Don't WWE realize most of Ric's legacy is kayfabe? Counter-question: at what point does it become possible that WWE has so strongly pushed and featured Charlotte because she puts on top notch performances and is someone they see worth carrying the division on her own merits? I'd easily rank her as one of the otp women on the main roster and absolutely deserving of the place she's in. WWE has zero capacity to do subtlety or restraint, but there is no reason for Charlotte this far in her career to be written off as someone they just want to push because she's Ric's daughter. Exactly. She has her own skill set and pulls off top notch main event matches. Her matches with Becky, the brawl with Sasha on Raw, three triple threat matches with one different opponent, Vs Ronda, in NXT. She isn’t just being pushed because Triple H loved Ric or some ignorant mess. She’s proved time and time again that she’s talented enough on her own now. Especially as a heel. Yet so many go back to that well.

Sorry but "predicable" isn't much of a reason with WWE and especially not in this case as predicable would have been the one on one with Becky winning. Nakamura and Asuka winning was supposed to be predicable, Roman beating Lesnar was supposed to be predicable, twice, Taker beating Lesnar was thought to be predicable. I guess what I am saying is, predicable doesn't mean much in WWE. Then I guess we have to wait and see what happens. Maybe but this stretch, week prior to Rumble until know, was the most weeks I've watched full shows going back to WM last year. The Becky stuff was what got me back, and while I want to see more with Bryan and with Seth, them f***ing this up kinda kills any desire I have to wait and see. I've grown tired of seeing sure fire stuff get water thrown on it like adding Charlotte has done to this for me. I'm sure the match will be amazing but I can see great wrestling anywhere this day and age. There needs to be more to it and to me it was Becky doing all she could to get Ronda and to me the story is about dead. Hell, I don't mind the stuff with the McMahons as it is a logical part of the story but this becoming a triple threat just isn't for me.

I dunno, maybe whenever she stops bumming Ric's gear, and his moves, and his music, and his taunts, and his catchphrase of sorts, and trotting him out to be part of her storylines every chance she gets? Although admittedly I'd say at least in my view, any perception that any of this comes from Charlotte's own ability is destroyed by how her initial run on the main roster went, where she was immediately positioned as the top face of the division despite crowds not caring even a little about her or doing anything really of note in the ring, got the belt as soon as possible, and got constant mic time despite sounding like she had no idea how speech worked, then left Mania as champion when all logic dictated she was losing seemingly solely so she would be the first one to hold the new belt. Granted since then she's put on some amazing matches, she has gotten the crowd to care about her as both a face and a heel in a big way, and... she's still pretty awful at promos but Becky's like the only woman in the company who isn't so fair enough, but it's pretty hard to look past her early days when she was being given the world for no clear reason beyond that.

Vince's is that matters in this world.

Should have just said “we are adding Charlotte to the match, you morons are paying for this shit regardless” rather than involve the McMahon’s and making this the same “Authority holding down the underdog” crap they fell into ass backwards with DB.

It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea and I totally understand that. Especially with WWE’s track record.

That would be the best idea. Then unfortunately have Charlotte defeat Asuka at Mania. That can lead to Charlotte/Becky title for title down the road after Mania. Possibly Summerslam if they can stretch it that long. It gives Charlotte some shine/reset and doesn’t sabotage Becky & Ronda’s first time competing with each other in the ring. I'll take the triple threat over Charlotte beating Asuka and derailing her again, honestly. Derail her? She is the SDL champion and is non-existant if not interacting with Becky or Charlotte. Losing to Charlotte again can bring a kinda boring face character to possibly something interesting.

It didn’t even register with me that Charlotte would win the triple threat considering ever since it came out that Ronda wanted to take time off after Mania, I just figured Becky would win. But then it got mentioned in this thread that Charlotte might win and it shook me to my core. And of course Becky winning would be the right decision and should be obvious, but then I think back to the WrestleMania 32 triple threat where Sasha was obviously going to win....
I’m terrified that the women are finally going to main event, Becky is going to get her match, and the show is going to end with Charlotte starting her 30th title reign.

Either way, it’s clearly working and making people gravitate towards Lynch now more than ever.

I gotta ask. Who's actually not going to watch the match now that Charlotte is added to it? No one's not going to watch. oh f*** that you think I'm spending half an hour watching Rule 34 Reigns and Move #500: Armbar~! in the same ring after like 7 hours of wrestling? I have things to do. I have cute girls to send photos of dogs doing dog things to. I have dogs doing dog things to watch. I can pet them too. I can take them for walks. I can do anything I want to in this world.

I thought Vince was the only one screwing Becky over?
Becky apologized and Hunter and Steph immediately accepted it and made the match.
It’s not the Authority screwing her, it’s crazy old Vince.

I don't care if she starts calling herself to the goddamned Nature Girl, her presentation as Ric's daughter is not the same as her only being where she is because she's Ric's daughter. It gave her a leg up, sure, but anyone talking up how she's only in this match because of nepotism is fooling themselves, and she's put on a strong enough showing to prove that. Hell, I think her work with the Becky feud since she turned heel even has her finally in a place of strong character work, and she's finding her groove in that regard too. I just feel like there's a lot of space between "She's pushed too much" and "She doesn't deserve this is it's all because of her dad", and the latter does a horrible disservice to every moment of great work she's put out there.

WWE has trained me to be cynical as f**k I'm always gonna think their gonna do the opposite of what the majority of the fans want until they prove me wrong.
