I will say one thing that could save this for me (although I still wouldn't like it nearly as much as just leaving it one-on-one, because it's still crowbarring Charlotte in to being in yet another first because this entire division exists solely as a spotlight for Triple H's Ric Flair crush), but is giving WWE WAY too much credit to think they would ever actually do - if they make it elimination. Then you can go ahead and have Charlotte in there getting in her spots or whatever, but you can still eventually ditch her and have Becky beat Ronda one-on-one with no hijinks around it or no room to argue for a fluke. Although really the whole, "Becky will win anyway!" thing is the same problem I had with when she won the title from Charlotte as a heel. Yeah, sure, she's winning, but she isn't being depicted in the context in which I actually want to see her so her actual success is meaningless to me. Man, if it was elimination rules and they had the balls to have Rousey just tap Charlotte like a minute in, that would be pretty damn bold. If that was their plan, I'd be all for it. Ronda looks like an absolute beast, and if Becky wins she looks that much stronger.

The only way to fix this and get it back to the way it should be is Becky beats Charlotte at Fastlane to get her match back and then Charlotte does something, anything else. That would be the best idea. Then unfortunately have Charlotte defeat Asuka at Mania. That can lead to Charlotte/Becky title for title down the road after Mania. Possibly Summerslam if they can stretch it that long. It gives Charlotte some shine/reset and doesn’t sabotage Becky & Ronda’s first time competing with each other in the ring.

You seriously think everybody saw where this was going? We really doing this lmao? As for possibilities, we are speaking on predictions or wish lists? These past few months I've been making some predictions, I don't do wish lists. Which one do you do? Dude, how the hell is this not registering for you? People going, "I don't want to see X," doesn't mean, "I'm confident X isn't going to happen." People have been confident for MONTHS that Charlotte was going to be a part of this story. There've been threads about it constantly and it's been a looming specter over things ever since Survivor Series and the Mania rumors started up. People saw it coming, they just wished WWE wouldn't actually go that path. Why are you failing so hard to understand this?I'm saying it once, not saying it again. I let your shots at me fly in the last post but this time nah, we're not doing that. If you got a problem take it to PM with me rather than trying to ruin my thread. This is the last time I'm speaking in this thread to you about it because we're adults here bruh. God bless you but I'll see you in another thread, you gotta chill and stop throwing insults at people who disagree with you. On with the thread!!

Because this story is predictable as heck. And predictably isn’t a bad thing at all sometimes. This is one of those times. The story of Becky overcoming the McMahon’s, overcoming Charlotte, overcoming Ronda, overcoming her knee, and overcoming the years of being fourth best writes itself. I think part of the problem is that they have had a predictable story line with Becky before that could have ended with her winning the title, this past summer slam with the underdog story and they didn't go with it. Instead, they turned her heel and she made it work and the crowd made her the biggest baby face in the company but that wasn't their plan. I can see why people are worried they may try to swerve what should be the ending because they have done it before. I totally get that, but sometimes they shouldn’t let past mistakes they’ve made hinder their vision of the future and possibilities of a title win for Becky. That sets yourself up to be disappointed and worried at every turn and road the story goes on. And to me, that type of mindset doesn’t said ride enjoyable whatsoever. I’d rather just sit back and see where the ride takes me than waiting for the inevitable car crash and being preemptively disappointed when we’re not even close to the destination yet, yknow? Just how I see it.

Why is it so important to you that you are right, everyone acknowledges you are right, and everyone accepts your opinion as the right opinion? ?
If that's what you took from my post then bruh, you're wrong on that. I didn't say that even once in this thread and I'll say this to you once. If you wanna talk to me about this again in this thread then take it to PM with me. I didn't respond to your last post for a reason, see me in PM rather than trying to get my thread closed.
Thanks homie.

I'm glad the triple threat is happening but I wish the McMahons hadn't gotten involved.

You know, I'm so f***ing disappointed I barely have the strength to put it into words, but two things about this situation
One, this is why their ratings are going into the toilet and will continue to
Two, this is why they shouldn't promise change in this company, because their version of what change is, is not what a normal human expects when they hear and see it.

Sorry but "predicable" isn't much of a reason with WWE and especially not in this case as predicable would have been the one on one with Becky winning. Nakamura and Asuka winning was supposed to be predicable, Roman beating Lesnar was supposed to be predicable, twice, Taker beating Lesnar was thought to be predicable. I guess what I am saying is, predicable doesn't mean much in WWE. Then I guess we have to wait and see what happens.

Becky overcoming Charlotte was already done. Doing something like that again is not a interesting story. The angle was hot without the tired McMahon/Evil Authority figures addition. The freshest idea was the simplest one(Becky/Ronda) and they blew it by adding rehashes to the mix. The crowd was on fire for Becky slapping triple h in the face and attacking Stephanie. Whether we like it or not, this Person Vs Authority story works with the right person. And to me, Becky has enough buildup to make it work. Plus, they could only do so many things in the span of three or so months before it would all end up being played out. This is the more interesting choice to get to. And yeah, we may have had Becky beating Charlotte at Evolution as an end slate to their feud, but Charlotte isn’t going to take that lying down. She isn’t just going to f*** off somewhere and lose to Asuka in the third or fourth match of the night. No. She wants to ruin Becky like Becky ruined her. She wants the spotlight. She wants her rightful place on top. And she’ll do anything to get there. Makes sense to me. And it builds up Becky even more. Plus, this angle kinda needed an overt heel (as I noted prior) in the form of vain, arrogant Charlotte Flair, since there really was no way they'd push Ronda Rousey as a heel just yet.

From watching the segments about this they really did this in the most nonsensical way possible.
There were decent ways to make this triple threat happen. Involving all of the McMahons not cosplaying as the best wrestler in the world in a silly rehash of the Daniel Bryan angle is not one of them.
All this really does is show how little faith they have in Ronda Rousey. She's now the 4th most interesting factor in this story and that's NOT something you want a crossover star to be. I think her subpar promo work is what caused them to pull the trigger on this.

Ronda is still getting babyface reactions, they were not going to turn her after only 8 or so months in the company. Charlotte as a heel, Becky as the underdog, and Ronda as the dangerous yet wholesome title holder makes sense to me.

I legit don't see how he's trying to ruin or derail this thread at all when he is posing to you the question you don't seem to want to answer about this entire ordeal. You seem to be the one taking it personally here. You could answer him instead of jabbing back like "You're ruining my thread, take it to PMs", when he hasn't even been the only one to pose it to you or try and clarify his stance. That being said if you don't wanna talk about it anymore, fair enough, but this seems like the wrong stance to take when people are posing pretty civil discussion with you. I don't see what he's doing as insulting at all.

With that being said, that match would’ve been fourth in the card and wouldn’t have made sense from a character standpoint for Flair tbh

I'd have probably just leaned into the situation as it currently stands - Ronda is a cheerful, friendly woman who high-fives the fans, is always happy to be there, and is a very graceful winner always looking to pay her opponent respect... and yet there's Becky, this brash, loudmouth jerk who goes out of her way to hurt people, is completely self-absorbed, and thinks everyone is out to get here, and yet the fans love her anyway, so Ronda's going to hurt her to prove who the real hero here is. Essentially make her the heel by virtue of being hung-up on other people's opinion of her and in trying to come off as a good person for the sake of being loved, rather than really actually BEING a good person.

I just see Flair as Ronda insurance in case the moment gets too big for Rousey. I am not saying Ronda can't handle the moment but there is certainly some risk there especially if you billing as the top card of the show.
Becky is great but she ain't prime Eddie Guerrero who can drag a great match out of anyone. There is certainly a scenario that exists on a one on one match where Ronda starts getting sloppy because she is so nervous in the ring. Charollete reduces the risk of the match because Ronda does not have to do as much and can plan out her spots better.

Why not though? They've done main event matches in the past without a clear cut heel (both title matches at Mania 23, for instance). In those cases one side automatically takes the heel role within the context of the match. Rousey was already viewed as the heel by the Becky fans. If we're to assume Charlotte is more hated, then adding her waters down Rousey's role more than anything else.

A great point was brought up and it's the fact that the WWE isn't making Ronda a heel yet. She's given signs of being a heel but they're not pulling the trigger. Charlotte's been the queen heel in the women for months now so it makes sense to put her in that position but with that said who knows how the booking before the match will be. We could see all 3 as equals or we could see I personally don't want to see Charlotte trembling like Punk in favor of the other two. They have to find a way to make it more even and a main event.

I hate this. I really like Charlotte and if I could trust that The Man was gonna beat both they asses and walk out of Mania the Champ it would be different. But honestly, if Charlotte wins I won't even be surprised. Vince likes to give her everyfu***ingthing after all.

My question is: is being the daughter of Ric Flair really that big of a deal? Don't WWE realize most of Ric's legacy is kayfabe? Counter-question: at what point does it become possible that WWE has so strongly pushed and featured Charlotte because she puts on top notch performances and is someone they see worth carrying the division on her own merits? I'd easily rank her as one of the otp women on the main roster and absolutely deserving of the place she's in. WWE has zero capacity to do subtlety or restraint, but there is no reason for Charlotte this far in her career to be written off as someone they just want to push because she's Ric's daughter.
