They've been doing it for twenty years, don't expect them to stop now. Herein lies a huge problem with everything that the WWE does, imagine if any other genre of anything kept doing the same stuff without much in way of evolution for 20 years, people would be mad bored, yo. |

The evil Authority thing is so played out it's ridiculous. Why do they instantly hate anyone popular? Austin was an unpredictable loose cannon who swore and drank beer and flipped people off on TV. Vince would be right to not want him representing his company. Fair enough with that but now they hate EVERYONE as a default setting.
Even in that Stephanie fluff piece someone posted a few weeks ago she said "Sometimes I have to slap people in the face to remind them who's boss!". WHY? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THAT? It's such a lack of imagination going for something one off that caught on 20 years ago that literally wouldn't have worked with anyone but Austin who happened to actually be a beer swilling redneck for real. All the wrestlers these days are so harmless it's just stupid.

This is why I wouldn't completely trust putting WWE Into the hands of HHH/Steph when Vince is finally gone. You don't think their going to have an on screen authority circle jerk every week on RAW once they get 100 percent control only to kill everyone's momentum? Please.
Part of it is ego. The McMahon truly can't give up the spotlight. They think the product revolves around them. The other problem is, they have NO new ideas. So the rehash everything from 20 years ago. Since because it worked in 1998-1999 it will work now. And obviously it doesn't

In the last year..
Becky has done fine without them.
Charlotte has done fine without them.
Ronda has done fine without them (excluding her arrival).
Like why now? They’ve earned this point. It’s the first WM women’s main event. Is Vince’s 73 year old, promo stumbling ass really required?

There was news before how they made sure that Steph was always involved in the on-screen charity events and all that because they want her to look good when she takes over.Thats is not USA for example. |

McMahons shoehorn their way into any angle that becomes massively popular, so that they can say the reason why something was successful was because they were involved. If it fails, then it was the wrestelr’s fault.
