I think the king for me has to be in I think WWE 12. Universe had for ages been kind of slowly coming together into a Heath Slater face turn breaking away from Nexus and challenging Barrett for the WWE title at WrestleMania, which ended up being in a Last Man Standing match... and then the actual match consisted of Heath attacking him from behind on the ramp and Barrett failing to get up from it.
Kind of a similar one that happened in 2K19 right when I first got it was a CAW of mine facing down Asuka in a title-for-title Mania match after having had like a year long run and the whole thing basically ending up consisting of her putting up virtually no fight and getting pinned with a standard kick to the head like three minutes in. I've rolled with that one though, basically made it being a huge anticlimax cause for a multi-year arc of rebuilding herself, beating Asuka at Mania, eventually turning heel and winning the belt back, and now building to a Mania rubber match between them.

This was 2k18, I Spent the better part of two in game years building to a match between my CAW and Cena. Finally get to the match at WrestleMania and beat Cena off a roll up 5 minutes in. I didn't play the game again for about a month after that.

Once simmed a match in the original Smackdown vs Raw (the one released in 2004 on Playstation 2), a 1v1 ladder match between Matt Hardy & D-Von Dudley. The opening bell rings, Matt runs towards D-Von, D-Von sidesteps, Matt flies through the ring ropes and onto the outside area of the ring, where he stays unconscious for a good 5-10 seconds. D-Von proceeds to climb the ladder and win the match.

In Just Bring It! there was a generic go-behind wristlock reversal every wrestler did. Perry Saturn somehow got the submission victory with it; this has only happened once.

I will never forget my buddy going off on, I want to say one of the first SD vs. Raw games. He tells me that he's in a tag team match. He is Shelton Benjamin and somebody else vs. Triple H and somebody else.
Anyways, he says how he's beating down the other guy with Shelton. The other guy gets in like, zero offense. Somehow, the guy gets away and tags in Triple H, who has a stored finisher.
He tells me, "My guy, Shelton Benjamin, who hasn't taken one f***ing move...gets f***ing Pedigreed, and gets pinned and loses!"
I told him that it sounds like a pretty realistic game. That made him laugh, since this was Triple H in full "Reign of Terror" mode.

I remember either being Test or KOing Test in No Mercy in a matter of seconds through freak luck.

I remember either being Test or KOing Test in No Mercy in a matter of seconds through freak luck. That happened with me and my brother once. Think I was Bossman, forget who he was but wanting to say Rock, but the entire match was me running at him, him catching me in an armbar, immediate submission.

In Smackdown 2, I played as Kurt Angle vs. Too Cool in a 3 on 1 match. I quickly put Rikishi in a rear naked choke while the other members stood around and danced. That was the only moves of the match and after 30 seconds, the match was over.

half the matches I ever had in Fire Pro Returns on ps3 ended with some random chinlock or crap submission, as I struggled to figure out which possible ground spot all the guys had their pins mapped to.
Drove me nuts how many matches were ruined by those lame resthold insta-tapouts

Shut Your Mouth’s hell in a cell finale was anticlimactic. The problem was that the season mode was very very long and it fell apart after year 2.

I remember in the original Smackdown, the game was weighted so that all the company's biggest stars would come out earlier in a royal rumble; because of the game's stamina system they'd inevitably all get eliminated. so D'von Dudley won the royal rumble with alarming regularity lol.

Smackdown vs Raw 2006 Career Mode, where the player character does a gauntlet of three matches set up by Teddy Long with the second being a cage match. Literally threw my opponent into the corner, did the cage escape suplex spot, and crawled out of the cage in about 25 seconds.
Hilarious to partake in.

Going undefeated all year, being tag and IC champ. Then eliminate 17 guys at the Royal Rumble before screwing up and getting eliminated.
Season over... I’m left off Wrestlemania

Poor Rikishi being choked out while his two fun loving friends dance the night away.
