We must never forget the Orton/Cena staredown at Royal Rumble 2011.
To total silence.
One of the funniest moments in WWE history.

My favorite Cena/Orton moment was the video package they set to Letters From The Sky by Civil Twilight in '09, which... is the most romantic song I've seen used for a WWE feud lol That package was a real testiment to their production team. It managed to make their rivalry look like one of the greatest ever when it really wasn’t, Video packages are one of the few areas where WWE have consistently been great for as long as I can remember. If you only watched the hype videos you'd have thought Jinder/Orton an epic rivalry.

And when they wrestle again, it will go back to feeling like it's something that happens every two or three months.
Orton has been at it for nearly two decades, solidly pushed all that time and when he retires, he'll be remembered as someone people faced between feuds with better opponents.

Let's hope we can say it's been over 52 years 50 years from now.

It is brought up every time Orton versus Cena is discussed, but they have far more chemistry as teammates than opponents, with the times they've been "forced" to team together actually being a lot of fun, with them doing tag team versions of their finishers. In a better world, they were some Mega Powers team for a year or two, and the blowoff might have had some actual heat for a change, compared to their later feuds which just were met with a collective meh. If I was booking right now I would have made them into a bitter, veteran, mega heel tag team to win the titles and hold them for a while until a babyface underdog team beats them. I still love that match with the two of them against the whole Raw roster.

We must never forget the Orton/Cena staredown at Royal Rumble 2011. To total silence. One of the funniest moments in WWE history. People wanted to see Cena/Kofi more. Hell, this year, people wanted to see Orton/Nia more.

We must never forget the Orton/Cena staredown at Royal Rumble 2011. To total silence. One of the funniest moments in WWE history. The best part was in 1990, when Warrior and Hogan faced off, Tony Schiavone and The Body had a simple but perfect call as the fans realized what was going down Jesse: "Look at THIS!" Tony: "My God...." I think Cole and whoever had an almost verbatim call of the Cena/Orton fart and it just made the whole thing even lamer with the silent crowd.
