... does anyone have any freaking clue what the purpose of SmackDown being swept at Survivor Series was?

Supposedly it was for something involving Shane going heel and lashing out at the roster? Not sure how true that is, but I can't imagine why they'd do that. I don't know why they'd throw the show under the bus and devalue it for Shane when they have good talent on it and have to build up SDL for Fox, but WWE's gonna WWE.

Probably something they just dropped, but given I completely forgot until you made this thread, I think people maybe overreacted a little when they flipped their shit about it.
Honestly, only thing that bugged me about it was them just outright ignoring Smackdown winning one of the pre-show matches, just kind of cementing all the more that the writers either do not care about it(well, we know they don't), or may not even be aware of it half the time.
