Whether it is TV or film. I've been watching two cartoons from 1989 lately that were released fully. Zelda and the DIC version of GI Joe. Both can be found on eBay. Zelda for under $6 and GI Joe for $25. Worth it just for Operation: Dragonfire. I also put the 1980's cartoon Cops and Pirates of Dark Water on my wishlist

Buddies, the spin=off from Home Improvement with Dave Chappelle that bombed largely because they fired the intended co-lead of Jim Breuer before the show went into production, somehow got a complete series DVD from Best Buy. Presumably it came out to capitalize on Chappelle's later fame its gotta be one of the most forgotten also rans in network television to get a home video release.

A lot of those random failed shows got DVD releases in the early 2000’s when TV on DVD took off. I have God, The Devil and Bob and Greg the Bunny on DVD and those both died within a couple episodes

Birds of Prey, a 1-season show in which pre-Crisis Huntress (Batman and Catwoman's daughter), Oracle, and teen Black Canary (daughter of the original) fight crime in New Gotham (post-No Man's Land) because Batman left. Also features Ferris Beuller's girlfriend as Dr. Harleen Quinzel and Shemar Moore as Huntress's love interest. Very early 2000s.

The winner is Wonderfalls. Only 4 episodes on the set even aired on tv. EDIT: Garbage Pail Kids also qualifies, as NONE of their episodes aired in the US.

Honestly it's probably some random mid-90s anime no one remembers that only got a DVD release because it was part of the contract for dubbing some more popular thing. The industry has a lot of instances of that.

Does Clerks: The Animated Series count?
Only 4 (?) of the 6 episodes actually aired on television before ABC canceled it.
The entire DVD commentary was just Kevin Smith shit talking ABC for 3 hours

Garbage Pail Kids - They made an entire season of it in the mid-80s and never aired a single one. Came out on DVD finally about 10 years ago.

My mum gave me DVD set of a show called Charlie Jade... I think it’s from South Africa.
Never watched it, don’t know what it’s about.
