I can only think of two reasons:

1. Everyone else worth a damn on SmackDown was being put into the tag team Chamber match, and Charlotte and Lynch were busy building up their WM program with Rousey, so all that was left for Asuka were the manager-wrestlers Lana and Zelina Vega. In hindsight, they had the time on the night to have Lana do an in-ring promo about how she was robbed of her shot in the Rumble, and then have Asuka come out, give her a title match and squash her in about a minute. I dunno.
2. They may have thought that it may have undermined Lynch’s momentum when they have someone who beat her clean being around bragging about that fact and not being addressed because Lynch has moved on.

They could have at least given her a couple of matches, even if they were against Lana and Zelina - paint Asuka as a fighting champion, and either give her squash victories or use the opportunity to let people see Lana and Zelina as more than just managers who occasionally wrestle.

It just seems absurd that they had Asuka beat Becky, then she disappears, especially while the Raw Women's Title has three women fighting over it (although the title is really academic to their feud) in the company's highest profile storyline.
