We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

Tales from the Crypt is the best of this lot I reckon, maybe Tower of Evil as an outside bet.

Here's me quoting myself from October:

VAMPIRE CIRCUS (1971) is about a plague-riddled little town that is visited one day by a traveling circus, little suspecting that said circus houses a cadre or a clan or a gaggle or a swarm of vampires! The vampires are suave and sexy but I love how they're total monsters, even preying on young children! Some very nice gore effects. The vampire transformations into bat and panther (!) are handled with simple trick photography, which doesn't always work but gets the point across. The circus itself is minimalist but colorful and weird. There's a full dance routine from a naked woman painted in tiger stripes and a "tamer" that's fun even if it doesn't advance the plot in anyway. Plus, STAR WARS fans can see what David Prowse looks like outside of the Darth Vader costume.

Basically this flick is sexy and weird and badass and I love it. Favorite Hammer Horror!

Two hours left on this poll....Tales From the Crypt most likely has it in the bag, but you never know what could happen in two hours.

So, since I seriously doubt The Red Queen Kills Seven Times (never seen) sneaks up and ties/overtakes Tales From the Crypt in the next 10-15 minutes, I'm going to go ahead and call it from TFTC. That got my vote as well, as it's a pretty decent anthology, and the best out of list, as, yeah, the rest of the ones I've seen on this list were either Meh or Shit.


Night of the Lepus (Bunnies!!!) and The Thing With Two Heads are fun crap, but crap is still crap....and these are both crap.

Three on a Meathook is OK, but I'll be honest and say that both the title and preview were superior to the film itself.

The Rats Are Coming! The Werewolves Are Here! has a fantastic title, and because it was an Andy Milligan movie, I was expecting more out of it, but it was pretty damn boring until the end....and that isn't even really good.


All right, on to 1973, and I will say that it's a Two Parter, as there isn't as high of a volume of horror movies produced that year as there was the previous two years, but I will say that 73 is definitely a case of quality over quantity.
