What are some storylines (even proposed ones) that caused someone to quit (or not join) a company? Of course, there was the ECW crucifixion angle that led to Angle deciding not to sign with ECW, and I read that Marc Lowrance quit USWA Texas to become a preacher as he was offended by the storylines going on there (paticularly the ones involving men hitting women).

Marc Mero quitting WCW because he felt uncomfortable with the angle with DDP and Kimberly. I did, too, given it went on roughly 400 years. The Steiners bolted from WWF apparently due to having zero interest in the team being split to have them feud. Which, it made sense, though I think Scott stuck it out as long as he did for Rick's sake, given one of them had a singles future, and it sure wasn't Rick.

Ronnie Garvin not wanting to put over Dusty Rhodes after he turned heel. Oddly enough, he did anyway as they wrote him out by saying Rhodes beat him up in the parking lot.

Marc Mero quitting WCW because he felt uncomfortable with the angle with DDP and Kimberly. Comes to WWF, lets his wife be a sex goddess, has another woman for a valet eventually. Go fig. Could the Montreal Screwjob partially be attributed to Bret disagreeing with his angles, but mostly the ones around him in the budding Attitude Era?

He was already on a "break" but Jeff Hardy ended up cutting ties with WWE and signing with TNA in 2010 because he was super pissed at a promo CM Punk cut on the PPV after he was busted with all them drugs at his house.

I thought he was already leaving at that time tho and WWE was willing to let him go for a bit due to the drug charge that was going to come

Scott Hall mostly left for WCW for monetary reasons but not wanting to do the storyline with Goldust was definitely a contributing factor.

I could be wrong, but didn't the Road Warriors leave WWF not just because of the "Hawk is a drunk" angle, but specifically because Hawk wanted it to be a good redemption story, and instead they booked it completely tasteless culminating in the infamous titantron fall?
I could have sworn I read that somewhere.

He was supposed to come back later on to continue the program with Punk but once Jeff got hot about that "shoot" promo, it was donezo.
