Wasted. That’s what.
They could have had an epic “comeback” story with Bryan. Instead he’s jobbing to geeks like Corbin and McIntyre every week. Nobody cares about these guys.

Someone who should of stayed GM and wrestled maybe twice a year

Someone who should of stayed GM and wrestled maybe twice a year Agreed. That would have been fine and might have made it seem like it mattered. At this rate, I'd rank his return lower than Mr. Perfects in 2002 (which I at least enjoyed even if it was uneventful)

All I wanted was Rollins vs Kurt (which they could've done at Crown Jewel and still could do at Raw) and Bryan vs Kurt. I'm not sure if he's going to retire at WM or not, but I feel like the sooner the better with those matches. This regular group of heel goobers in Corbin/Lashley/DrewMac is just the worst selection.

Bryan can go so a comeback story for him works. Angle's a broken shell of a man who just cannot keep up. That goes from fun to sad way too fast.

Agreed for sure. Especially on Team I Guess We're Friends. I don't even really dislike them individually (except Corbin obviously) but together they're somehow less than the sum of their parts and entirely banal.

I get he looks broken down but I think if you put him in there with Bryan and let them wrestle a 20 minute technical wrestling match, it would be more than good enough. They wouldn’t have to do much risk taking and the story would sell itself. Angle wants to prove he can still hang and if he can’t beat Bryan and become WWE Champion one more time, he’s finished. Basically Rocky 6. Bryan could win and shake his hand at the end. Angle looked fine at last years Mania and even in the Greatest Rumble, he had some good bits.

I'm sure he has a retirement match at Mania that we're supposed to pretend is a big deal because WWE will tell us it is, rather than us actually feeling it.

That's the problem though, Angle only has good bits. He can't carry or even help carry singles matches, he physically can't. Multi-man matches are fine as he doesn't have to be the focus. He's just too broken down at this point. This doesn't even touch on his complete lack of psychology and storytelling that again make him best used in the occasional multi-man match. Putting him out there in a major singles role is putting him out there to be embarrassed.

A washed-up legend actually being booked like a washed-up legend and not someone supposedly better than they were 15-20 years ago.

I wonder if it’s too late to do a match with him and Bryan. Maybe try it out at one of their Saudi/Australia house shows?

Someone who should of stayed GM and wrestled maybe twice a year But then we wouldn't have gotten the greatness of Constable Corbin, Raw GM. ...what? Stop laughing

It seemed like they were building to something after he got beaten easily by McIntyre and then Corbin, like maybe him putting his career on the line at Wrestlemania to prove that he’s still got it.
That went nowhere though and now he’s just a random midcarder on Raw making up the numbers in meaningless tag matches.
He shouldn’t be wresting at all though. Him slowly doing his old triple German suplex spot these days is sad to see.
