I'd imagine this is indeed leading to Joe / Cena, mostly because I can't think of much other reason to have had R-Truth constantly bringing Cena up the past couple weeks. Just do something like having Joe start doing an open challenge of his own but solely as a pretense to hurt people and have Cena step up to put an end to it.

This really is the best possible scenario for both guys. Joe's easily one of the best promo guys they have and very few can keep up with Cena when he's on his game, and it sure beats the hell out of seeing Cena try to carry Undertaker or face Drew McIntyre.

Samoa Joe being overlooked and not given the same opportunities Cena got writes itself really. I'm pretty sure it was even a match between the two of them that got Cena noticed by Jim Ross.
