...is that Raw isn’t very good.
Yeah, Ronda isn’t the best speaker and yeah the McMahon part of it reeks. But Raw, the brand, is the issue.
It’s a three hour show that is not very good. It’s even longer for the live crowd. So even when they get to one of the hottest acts in the company, they’re a little cold and tired. And again, the overwriting doesn’t help.
Compare it to Smackdown. Becky was on the show for the first time in weeks and it worked. She got the great reaction she usually does and the segment, while nothing special, didn’t do damage and got the message across simply enough. And again, it’s a decent show that mostly keeps the crowd alive with each segment.
You could say the lack of Ronda was the difference. I say the problem is between the two brands and I’m sadly still predicting they’ll ruin Becky if she moves after Wrestlemania.

There was a noticeable decline in the storytelling as soon as the feud moved to Raw.

Honestly I wish they'd just get the feud off SmackDown and make it Raw-exclusive for the time being. Yeah, the SmackDown segments are generally better, but because Ronda doesn't work Tuesdays they're basically all inconsequential filler on a show that can barely fit half its roster on most weeks to begin with.

There was a noticeable decline in the storytelling as soon as the feud moved to Raw. The worst thing that can happen to a talent is for someone like Vince to get behind them. It’s weird like that. But that’s a small part of it, relatively. People overlook that the whole show needs to be decent. Raw so often is just a slog that very well might drag Becky down. If a crowd has been dead for most of the night, even the best performer won’t get the best reaction. The bad writing just adds to the woes.

The reactions were alright, but if they put that segment at the start of the show the crowd would've been red hot for it. Becky still got a decent reaction when she came out and the Ronda heel turn did as well, but Raw as a whole just ain't good.

The problem is it is a triple threat that almost no one wants to see

I was listening to a review from Wade Keller and I'm not sure who said it, either him or his coworker, but someone said that Becky's style of trash talking is too effective against someone like Ronda because she's too good with it in today's times. Austin was doing the same shit as Becky but the difference is that Becky's got more time to lay her shit in and she's got social media. You put that against Ronda and it's an onslaught. Now look at that and then put that on SDL and it's just better since it's less dominating given it's an hour less.
But let's be real here, it doesn't matter what show it's on because this feud is so complex. Becky and Ronda just have better chemistry which we already know. We saw what they did last year.
