I think it's brilliant that they took a comedy punch line of Truth being inspired by "career hero" John Cena in order to bring back the US title open challenges, only for Joe to win the title in one of the challenges, and then use it to foreshadow a title match featuring Joe against actual John Cena.
You'd never see this nuance in storytelling on Raw.

Looks like they're building to Joe vs Cena at Mania so hell yes to that. You must really want to experience a LOLCENAWINS then.

The US Title has been a huge mess for a while now. I think R-Truth's "reign" was my favorite of the last couple years to give you an idea of how low the bar has been set. Honestly the only other time I remember R-Truth getting 'This is Awesome chants' were for non-wrestling things like his TruthTV epic night and the 7 Second Dance Breaks when they were still fresh and new, and prolly when he smoked cigs inside the arena like he gave zero f***s (if I were in the crowd I would've started the chant myself lol) But his US Open Challenge final title defense, he got a "This is Awesome" chant purely because of his mat skills and the fact that it was one helluva match. I would say MOTY candidate easily. R-Truth continues to level up despite being the oldest dude in the lockeroom, props

I actually have to give SDLive a lot of credit in particular for the current 'tag team boom' happening throughout all shows (the Women's tag division starting up, NXT doing the annual Dusty Rhodes Classic, as well as infusing "NXT" into both RAW and SDLive's tag team divisions to further give it a pedestal for tag teams to shine ontop of). A show where Breezango are the top faces and main event multiple SDLive shows, or where Heath Slater and Rhyno were at their absolute highest point in terms of booking throughout their entire WWE careers, SDLive got people to care about tag team wrestling again in the modern era

They should do alot more with R-Truth. He's got character, talent and a good look. He can be heel or face and it doesn't take much to heat him up to be a convincing challenger or an entertaining character.

I actually liked Truth's reign. The "Damn he brave" line last week when he did his first open challenge cracked me up. Dude always finds a way to make me laugh every week. So disappointed he lost the title, but not disappointed that Samoa Joe won it. I've been wanting Joe to get some main roster WWE gold for a long time.

I laughed when after Lacey Evans he was asking who is challenge is going to be in some people in the audience started saying little Jimmy. That would have been funny if he said little Jimmy was going to be his next Challenger or Mama Jimmy too

...that was my reaction as well. Probably unintentional, but talk about a potentially poor choice of words.

I went to the thesaurus for synonyms for "dimwit". Please don't tell me there's undertones for the word that'll get me in trouble.
