So let me get this straight...millions of dollars but I'm not getting pushed over a few hundred k maybe and I'm pushed as a top guy. Do pushes with a fraction of money pay bills? Can I explain to my wife why the house is in foreclosure over my need to be artistically satisfied? Money isn't everything, and they probably already have plenty of it as it is. Plus by all accounts AEW's pretty much just throwing money around like crazy right now.

I mean, the only reason they moved was because Anderson wanted to raise his kids in America so you’d think they’d have enough from the repeated NJPW runs where they can at least take the bigger payday then leave after a small bit.

They’re probably heading to AEW, but c’mon Machine Gun, come home.

They’re not that good

Ugh. A team I like probably going to a place I refuse to watch.

They’ll be on OK. Gallows...one time they put a convict gimmick on him down in Tennessee...they’d send him to the ring in shackles, but nobody had they key. I’d like to see these young guys try to get over when they can’t use their arms or their legs...

Speaking of No Way Jose, he got a sweet new hairdo. Goodbye getting attacked on the way to the ring by more important wrestlers! Hello next level!

They're not the best tag-team in the world or anything, but WWE DEFINITELY could've done more with them. Why they never did a Bullet Club 'invasion', I'll never know. Maybe not the best idea, but it's a whole lot better than anything they did with the company.

Call me skeptical but I'm not believing they turned down "millions."

People complain they weren't used well but you can't push everyone at the same time and there are better tag teams than them. Trying to recreate the Bullet Club for an audience that barely knew what the BC was was a fool’s errand right from the start. The only foolish decision they made was not even giving the stable a month before abandoning it altogether. Hell, Balor Club in its proper form didn't even make a full heel turn like it should have, and was used as little more than fodder for the D-X reunion at Raw 25! So let me get this straight...millions of dollars but I'm not getting pushed over a few hundred k maybe and I'm pushed as a top guy. Do pushes with a fraction of money pay bills? Can I explain to my wife why the house is in foreclosure over my need to be artistically satisfied? If the difference between "hundreds of thousands" and "millions" determine the difference between being able to afford house payments and your bills, you've got a hell of a lot more to do with fiscal responsibility than doing pretend fighting for a living. These guys have been in the business long enough to have built a comfortable life for themselves, but I severely doubt they are living beyond their means even right now. If they've got a comfortable nest egg to keep their family going and are completely used to the independent lifestyle (remember, these guys ran in Japan for years), I doubt a change in salary is going to matter much when the families of these two are more willing to see them succeed and be happier with their profession than be continually stressed out at the cost of having more money. Hell, if they do go to AEW (and by all accounts I'd be shocked if they didn't), their travel schedule may even be reduced moreso than they are now, meaning they'll get to spend more time with their families, and no amount of millions is going to make up the difference there.

Call me skeptical but I'm not believing they turned down "millions." Same. There's no way they're offering that much to two guys they don't see much value in when they have a ton of other guys. They should really consider letting people they're not using regularly on tv do outside gigs. It would help eliminate problems like this.

Logic stream:
Gallows & Anderson were being used wrong by WWE. Gallows & Anderson flailed around the midcard and house shows for over a year. Gallows & Anderson are not being used by WWE. There are other potential promotions that would use them wisely. Those promotions need talent. WWE needs competition.
Bye-bye, Gallows & Anderson. Your leaving is good for wrestling.

On WOR, Dave Meltzer speculated that they're holding out for more money, as WWE will likely increase their offers when AEW announces their TV deal.

So let me get this straight...millions of dollars but I'm not getting pushed over a few hundred k maybe and I'm pushed as a top guy. Do pushes with a fraction of money pay bills? Can I explain to my wife why the house is in foreclosure over my need to be artistically satisfied? If either of these guys end up in a situation where their house is facing foreclosure then they've f***ed up somewhere along the way, unless life deals them an awful hand in terms of medical emergencies. Gallows has had two lengthy runs in WWE on good money, as well as TNA with that ex-WWE money and a prominent NJPW run. Anderson was in New Japan for forever and nearly always important, dude has to have made decent bank and will have definitely been on a solid deal in WWE. They leave, they will get big offers from New Japan and AEW even if its not Saudi money, and when they do retire there's the usual conventions/shoots/training gigs. This isn't a time where the guys blew their money up their nose as soon as they got it, they're not going to be bankrupt without WWE-level money and if you can have a comfortable life where you're happier in your job, that's better than having loads of spare cash while you while away your years in a shit job. Speaking as someone who currently is in a shit job on okay money, I plan to get out of dodge as soon as I can afford to and go do something that doesn't make me feel like I'm wasting my life even if it pays less. And I ain't been anywhere near the salary these guys will have been on. Like, if they wanna stay for big money, cool. If they don't, cool. But this attitude of "how dare someone choose feeling fulfilled over making more money" is really weird to me.

Never really got into the Club/Good Brothers but if they want to go elsewhere and be happy, by all means let them.

It’s honestly going to be interesting when the shoe drops and that TV deal’s potentially announced, especially with some of the people whose contracts are coming up to their end date. Like, WWE has the money to keep people and even if it isn’t a huge pay rise, they want to keep as many people as possible so shareholders don’t come sniffing around.
