I don't think anyone should brag about having "RVD money", that's really not an impressive measure of anything It isn't an amount of money, it's modern carny for when you pay talent in weed. On the same note, "Sandman money" is whiskey and "Dreamer money" is food

I remember his WWE run a few years ago. It was much like the Dudley Boyz return and the New Age Outlaws return. Come out, do your famous moves, match ends, rinse, repeat. Seeing Van Dam doing the exact same moves that had excited me 15 years earlier really took the lustre off him. It's one thing to have classic moves in your repertoire but to just repeat yourself beat for beat? No thanks. I realize though, that might be exactly what WWE wanted out of them. However, judging by the other comments in this thread it was at least partly on him.

Something comes to mind for me.
If a guy like RVD who's best days as a draw are behind him makes that statement that he doesn't really care and just wants to go out, do his same stuff and get paid, why are any company of note, especially one that is trying to rebuild, rebrand and be something different, throwing money at him? Surely there are better ways to spend that money?

However, RVD's may wear off quickly if he can't deliver.

Crap like "RVD money" is why I've been done with the dude for a long time.
I assume that RVD money is the same as 1998 ECW money b/c he's still doing the same shit now he was then. Just slower.
All that being said, I'm still excited for that tag match.

Then I remembered he had to wrestle other matches for the rest of his run. Poor Rob.

RVD is probably my second favorite wrestler ever (behind Steve Austin) but I saw him in an indie match about 6 months ago and he was terrible. He was slow, he didn't do any of his cool moves, etc. If he's going to come in like that I don't want it, but if he can still go and be RVD I'm down for a comeback. Watching RVD is pretty sad these days. If he isn't in shape I'd prefer he stay home rather than (further) tarnish his legacy.

Maybe he will bring Katie Forbes with him.
Thats a silver lining if I've ever heard one.

God I hope they use his old Shitty entrance music. You know they're going to. Well, they are since the theme is owned by RVD, so they wont have to pay anyone to use it.
