It's insane to me that this is the second year in a row where the guy won't have anything planned for WM until maybe a couple weeks before. Third year. He was already catching fire before mania 33, but they gave him nothing and then stuck him in the Battle Royal. On the pre-show. That Mojo Rawley won.

The first two eliminated from the Pre show battle royale? Big Show and Braun Strowman. And this was around the time Big Show was going to retire after potentially facing Shaq.

I blame FAN. That “Braun is too Overpowered” thread got to Vince somehow.

There’s only so much a super pushed monster face can do when the champ is Brock and they don’t let Brock lose very often.
My guess is Brock doesn’t like working with him so he says ‘nah, not losing to that guy’ and so Strowman loses all his momentum.

I think the shit work he did during the Lesnar feud caught up with him. He'll always be a credible threat they can use when needed due to his size, just like Big Show was. But, like Show, they aren't going to build around him.

T My guess is Brock doesn’t like working with him so he says ‘nah, not losing to that guy’ and so Strowman loses all his momentum. Their first ever encounter was in the Rumble before Mania 32, where Lesnar got fed up with Strowman either not selling or being stiff that he eventually just waylaid him. Maybe there's bad blood going back to that.

I think the main problem was always in ring work. As over as Braun was I just don’t think WWE trusted him to carry main events every night. It’s a shame cos I love Braun but that would be my guess.

It's quite amazing that something so sure-fire got squandered the way it did. Finally, a big massive monstrous guy who can move gets over big, and he actually has a scary intimidating voice that is perfect in short bursts, and what happens? Nothing happens. Brock Lesnar happens. Braun should've been in Brock's spot now, only actually being around to build feuds and create interest, but they had him completely get dismantled at Crown Jewel. And for what, another absent title reign that has yet again become a storyline? Why sacrifice a guy who could be a big star for a guy who was already made 10 times over in his career? It's frustrating as hell. Rollins is suffering for it, too.

I quit watching after he turned heel and aligned himself with the loser Ziggler, what happened after that?

There was a time when he should have been strapped up.

He’s finished.
They’ll probably turn him heel/face 50 times before his career is over. Eventually he’ll probably get a short title reign but by then it’ll be too late. Nobody will care. Nobody will take him seriously.
Me personally, I’ve never been a massive fan of the guy. So I’m not too bothered that he’s not main eventing. If you ask me, they f***ed him up last year with the whole “tag team champions with a kid” thing... this guy was supposed to be a big dangerous monster and this “humanized” him and made him look soft. He should have just beat The Bar on his own and then been stripped the next night for not having a partner.

That's what happens when you're OP and then when they realize they've f***ed you up they can't do anything about it given you're hurting the product. Sad that it happened to Strowman. If only they balanced him right when they needed to. He'd probably be a world champion right now.
I think in the end he'll be fine though. He'll probably be traded to SDL and with fresher opponents he'll have a new lease on life. There's a few guys I associated with Raw and for the past 2 1/2 years Strowman's one of those guys.

I quit watching after he turned heel and aligned himself with the loser Ziggler, what happened after that? Failed in his cash-in, lost to the Shield twice, turned face, lost to Lesnar, had a feud with McIntyre and Corbin, got injured, came back, and has done nothing since.
