It's genius and Kofi's playing his part well in this. Kofi was right there next to Bryan but Bryan kept elevating. Now after all this time Bryan's shutting down someone who was in the same spot he used to be in. Even though Bryan knows what Kofi's going through, he continues to shun him. It's great. He’s legitimately became the grizzled veteran who now knows that working with the system brings you some pull with the boss. Much like orton did all those years ago in 2013. It’s a damn good story they’re telling with callbacks we didn’t even know were there. I don't know why, but I always like the "Heel Veteran protecting his spot" thing playing out on screen. |
