Sure it’s not the hottest program going into Wrestlemania but I still think it’s amazing. Orton and styles proved tonight that they are perfect foils for eachother and this is the best I’ve seen of face AJ since he came to the wwe, as well as Ortons in a really long time.Hell this could even end up being Both guys best mania match/fued. I know people wanted them to open but I think this could end up being a good match in the middle of the show. I’m also excited to see the rest of this build up.

Yeah, I'm seeing them wrestle at a live event this weekend and that promo was a nice way to get hyped for both my event and Mania

That back and forth was fantastic. Instantly got me hyped to see them wrestle. It is the most I've enjoyed Orton in years.

Jesus, man...that back and forth was amazing from two people you wouldn’t expect to have that back and forth.
Also loved the feud basically stemming to WWE crafted chosen one to independent star, it’s the easiest thing but it works.

I can't be the only one who thought AJ was getting outpopped by Orton. I know they were in the midwest, but I thought it was interesting. And I like AJ way more than Orton.

Wow. I'm not usually a big fan of either guy on the mic, but that was a really good exchange. It didn't feel as scripted as some of the usual stuff we see on screen.

Yet another reminder of how f***ing good Orton is when he's completely invested in what he's doing

I like it, I think they can tear the house down and have a great feud, looking forward to this match.

Have they uploaded this to YouTube? See this? This is how you blur the lines of kayfabe in a good way while still keeping things all within the confines of the match itself. THIS is how they need to provide the elbow-nudging that makes the hardcore more invested. Don't disrespect your audience, respect their intelligence with callbacks and continuity like this, and you'll earn a hell of a lot more eyes than someone repeatedly breaking the illusion for no reason other than cheap heat.

Orton and AJ have always been good about never getting too shoot-y and sticking to the script. So I'm not too surprised by the quality of the promo. It's why AJ is one of my favorites of all time; a guy from the 'independent' scene who never had that indie chip on his shoulder when he arrived to the WWE. He integrated himself perfectly into the WWE environment, never mouthed off on Twitter, and had a seamless transition into being a solid sports entertainer.

That’s how you do a promo that touches on some outside things without losing people. Orton was on fire and AJ held his own as well. Came across “real” with their barbs and added even more fire to this match that was already sold on just those two meeting in the ring

Just watched the promo - that was some good stuff. That's how you reference 'real life' while keeping kayfabe.
Two guys simply talking a bit of real shit (without dumping on the industry and calling everything fake) = the program I'm interested in the most, besides Kofi/Bryan. Keep it simple, stupid.

I must be in the minority in thinking that segment was nothing special. It was pretty well worn material. You wrestled in bingo halls. I’ve done all these things. Oh yeah, well you only got where you are because of who you know. It was a decent segment but nothing more. That said, I am actually looking forward to the end result. I’ve been wanting to see these guys work together for a very long time.

That was a great exchange. No script breaking or mention of characters or scripts. Just the way I like it.
I think Orton got the best of him though with that “too sweet” line lol.

Not a huge Randy fan but I hope he crushes that vanilla midget.
