Time to finish up 1982, as we deal with the final list of Horror/Related movies from this year. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

Sorry, they're done by release date, as it didn't give me the option to display alphabetically. I will say that I thought I had this spaced out well, numerically, but I was four short on this one. I'll try to get it better for 83.

THE BEAST WITHIN is sort of a southern gothic about a teenaged boy who turns out to be something of a were-cicada. Has a truly disgusting transformation scene at the end.

I'll be on the road in a bit (which is why I'm posting the next poll early). The New York Ripper is winning this poll, but another movie could sneak up and tie/steal. I will update the winning movie (and give my thoughts on these movies) later tomorrow, but for now, get ready for 1983.

I did change my vote, as I was trying to make things easier, trying to keep up on this trip, however, it was between this movie and the one I originally had voted for. However, I did like The New York Ripper, as it was pretty classic Fulci, when it came to the violence, even though this was more a crime movie with horrific killings vs. his more supernatural fare, as it relates to gore movies.

Originally I had voted for The Living Dead girl, as it is also a pretty damn good film. It's about a girl who is killed, and comes back as sort of a living(?) zombie. He friend hides her, and eventually starts killing people for/to hide our titular character. However, as the friend starts to become more inhuman, killing as much for her thrill than to help.her friend, the Living Dead Girl regains her humanity. It's good stuff.

The Beast Within is a pretty cool movie, with an admittingly good transformation scene.

All right...moving on to 1983.
