I wonder if there are any other fandoms that get mad at shirts. Tupac and Biggie fans when the Jenners decided to co-opt their image.

Honestly, any time a celeb wears the shirt of any band or artist, some of their fans will get upset and precious about it. "Ugh, as if she even knows who the Ramones were!" This shirt is just dumb, though. Wrestling fans wearing it are really just mocking themselves for being fans. If people have that sort of sense of humour then fine, but one of the reasons the WWE wanted Ronda was to give them a newfound sense of mainstream legitimacy.... How's that going?

How many do you think Joe Rogan has already bought? They don't have enough muscular guys on them for him to buy some.

I really wish pro wrestlers and pro wrestling companies would realise that NOBODY ever looks better after a "shoot" that denounces kayfabe.
Youre admitting that everything else on your show doesnt matter.

Wrestling only works when it's all or nothing; it's all fake or nothing is fake.
Ronda is taking this road of being better than wrestling because she's real and wrestling isn't, but she's still the one that's going to be winning or losing a 'fake' match at Wrestlemania. How does it help her at all to be pointing this out? I get that she/the WWE are trying to sell the idea that she'll shoot on everyone at WM, but I don't think people are buying that at all.

I keep mentioning this, but there’s no real point in doing any of this if it’s not going to be brought up on TV, and two weeks after the first thing of it on the blog, there hasn’t been one peep about it on TV. So all it’s doing is turning off an internet fanbase to the point of them now actively dreading the match, which sounds ludicrous given how hot people were for it two months ago, and is INCREDIBLY unfair to Lynch and Flair, who have mostly stayed within the lines, so to speak, and undermines their hard work and even undermines Rousey’s work in trying to learn the craft she’s becoming so apparently resentful of.
Rousey’s that little shit who chooses Dynamite when playing Rock, Paper, Scissors and seems confused when nobody wants her to play anymore.

It’s interesting this is probably the first time I’ve read opinions on a storyline across a few different forums and it’s been universally negative. It’s almost all pretty much the same gripe too. Kinda crazy how badly they’ve fumbled the bag with this.

Again, I can't wait until she's gone. And I hope no one ever tries to make an MMA idiot a pro wrestler again. Just tell them to go to Bellator to have their brains scrambled into nothingness.

Rogan's actually quite respectful of the business. I've seen his interviews with DDP and Jake the Snake and he appreciates the skill and toughness that goes into wrestling.
I don't see the uproar TBH; Obnoxious heel character does something to wind up the smarks and get them to back the babyface ahead of Mania.
Becky goes over at Mania, and the fans go home happy. Job done.
All of which could have easily been accomplished through storytelling that doesn't include ripping the curtain down late-WCW style and shouting "I'm *actually* tough! All the rest of this is fake!". It's an insult to every performer, writer, agent, fan etc.. The uproar is justified.

It is incredible how easy it is to wind people up about this subject. Job done I guess.
There are literally dozens of examples of insider terms being used in wrestling, which weren't denounced as being the death of the business.

For clarification, the Jenners were selling shirts with their faces literally over images of Biggie and Tupac, without giving money to Pac or Big's estate, or even clearing the image with the original photographers. That's a major appropriation and theft.
