It's crazy how positive ratings threads get so few replies. Viewership rising says the Kofi story is working, is building momentum and hopefully WWE won't mess it up.

Honestly I saw this days ago but haven't bothered making a thread on SmackDown ratings in weeks because there's no point. It does in the 2.1-2.2 million range every week regardless of what's going on or what Raw's viewership is like, what is there to even say?

Am I missing something? That is not a good number, especially right before WrestleMania.

Am I missing something? That is not a good number, especially right before WrestleMania. It's relative, I guess. They'd been advertising the gauntlet match for a week, and relatively, it popped a rating. It got more people to tune in. Should bode well for Kofi's push.

Am I missing something? That is not a good number, especially right before WrestleMania. For WWE the last few years? Absolutely. In comparison to how Raw’s doing AND with how WWE’s treated Smackdown overall in the last decade plus, those might as well be Monday Night Wars numbers in terms of keeping steady.

An emotional story with a fan favorite gets people to actually watch. Rocket science, y'all.

They'd been advertising the gauntlet match for a week, and relatively, it popped a rating. It got more people to tune in. Should bode well for Kofi's push. I've been saying for years they need to advertise the main event of Raw and Smackdown for a week before they air. People will tune in if they know there's something they want to see. It would also be a great and easy way for the company to know who is and isn't a draw. Instead 99% of the time we get a boring promo that eats up the first half hour of the show to set up that night's main event with no advertisements whatsoever.

It says only 10,000 more viewers than last week’s episode.
