But am I wrong it's considered weird among vampires, and most of them lack the drive? EDIT: Oh, also apparently it was out and then put back in with the unofficial patch? I'm also seeing from multiple sources (just schmoes on the internet, no official writers or anything) that in the game, it IS explicit that vampires don't enjoy sex. e.g. steamcommunity.com/app/2600/discussions/0/540739861997648504/

I think the idea is that it's something you CAN do if you want to... but that'd just be a form of pleasure seeking (as it is for some humans) as it is impossible for you to do it for reproductive purposes.
edit: some might find it weird (I'd imagine the Gangrel, and Brujah would... and the Nosferatu wouldn't even think it a possibility) ... but it's not unheard of in some clans like the Toreadors (the pretty people) and maybe the Ventrue (the Royals)

And there is at least one Malkavian NPC in the game who is quite the fan, if you find her notebook.

Sex and Kindred is... weird. Like, in Bloodlines, they are technically right in that vampires derive no pleasure from the actual act of sexual intercourse. They're also impotent, though their vitae can be used to er, stimulate themselves to perform the act. But sex is used a lot in VTM of as a manipulative means of obtaining blood from the kine. There are also still elements of attraction and passion and those feelings derive from the still intact human brain as well as the nature of the Beast. Like Toreadors in particular are very sensual creatures. Like, there is a sense of emotional intimacy and pleasure in the Kindred's mind even if there's no physical pleasure provoked through hormones. I'm not sure what "ruleset" Bloodlines 2 will work with, but V20 adopted VTR's rules where Kindred DO experience sexual attraction and even experience physical pleasure from intercourse, though it's not quite as intense as the pleasure derived from drinking blood. As for Jeanette, she's a special case because she can derive physical pleasure from actual intercourse. Or at least she thinks she can. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}But then she and her "sister" are split personalities of a single Malkavian vampire so her mind's not exactly in the same state of sanity as other Kindred. This is the most I've ever talked about vampire sex.

The conclusion reached in the thread I linked to is that the game is just inconsistent about it, which seems right to me. They say outright vampires just want blood and not sex, but then we're shown vampires who like sex, so question mark. Kinda seems like they just wanted you to be able to have sex with Harley Quin and didn't think too hard about integrating it with the rest of the game.

On that note, although this isn't explored in Bloodlines, Thin-Blooded vampires of the 14th and 15th generations are able to produce children with the kine, usually involving a Cainite father and a human mother, though there have been rare cases of a Cainite mother giving birth, too. These children are called Dhampirs.

Season of the Wolf makes me think that yeah... Werewolves are going to be a big part of at least the DLC Story... They mentioned what sounded like there will be character customization in this game ... which is good becuase even though I love the Malkavians the one from Bloodlines is not really the type of outfits I thought of when playing the Pen and Paper game.

Well, if I can thwack the baddies with a stop sign I will be very happy indeed. Need to know more details before I even think about pre-ordering though. And quite possibly a PC upgrade.
