Holy shit, you guys! Holy shit, you guys! They're making a sequel to one of my favourite games ever!
Obviously not much to go on so far, although they really seem to be focusing even more heavily on magic than in the original. Either way, I'm so there and I really hope they manage to recapture the atmosphere of the original, which is what made it for me. BRB, reinstalling the original, as is tradition every time it is mentioned.

The first Bloodlines game is legitimately out of my top 5 games of all time. I love the World of Darkness lore and Bloodlines was rich with it. Cannot wait! Plus I'm hearing there will be mod support for it, even more exciting. And since they won't be pressured to deliver in a hurry the game, hopefully, won't ridden with bugs.

The best part from the announcement is that several of the people who worked on VTMB1 for Troika are also working on this game, including one of the lead designers and writers Brian Mitsoda. And it sounds like they already got the tone of the game and its humor down, judging by the dev interview on Gamespot.
Bloodlines was a phenomenal game and it already seems like the sequel is going to do it justice. I'm really excited.

Interesting. Never got around to playing the first, but I'll probably give this a pick-up.

Get the game on GOG.com if you can. IIRC, it comes with a package that includes the latest version of the Unofficial Patch (which are fully endorsed by the devs that made the game) that fixes a ton of the issues the original release had.

Very awesome. It's got a huge following who have been starved for this for a long time.

Never played the original but heard it was a pretty cool game. We need some more vampire games. I feel like the last great one (outside the Skyrim DLC) was Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.

I hope VTMB2 lets me RP my vampire character like Tyrell.

Never got around to playing the first game, as it was a departure from VtM: Redemption. Interesting it's gotten a sequel after so long.

Never played the original but heard it was a pretty cool game. We need some more vampire games. I feel like the last great one (outside the Skyrim DLC) was Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. The early 1900s era Vampyre was alright. Combat held it down from being truly great though. Terrible controls but great story and characters. Thankfully they added a more story driven mode to it. Also yes, Legacy of Kain was amazing. I'm surprised we haven't seen a reboot of those games.

really love the original... not really sure how they can make a sequel to the story entirely... but the lead writer is apparently on board.
Hopefully it doesnt have a lot of the other minor bugs the original did... since you know it went out of business right after it was released.

I played the first one and liked a lot about it. But hooollllyyyy damn some of that stuff has not aged well. It was just super embarrassing to see my character dressing in like ten different stripper costumes for no reason.

I don't think it will be a direct sequel to Bloodlines in so far as continuing the story from there, especially since the main character of Bloodlines 2 is completely different and the game takes place in Seattle and not LA. That said, I hope we do see a couple of returning characters that'd still exist, like Smiling Jack and Beckett.

Especially since... {Spoiler} it is more or less stated that the cabby is Cain. Or at the very least an Antediluvian

{Spoiler}If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cab Driver who is probably Caine is in Bloodlines 2.
