Gallows and Anderson got punked out tonight, but to be fair, they did turn down a new contract, so the company likely considered that to be an insult, even though the reason for them turning down said contract was because they didn't want to be barely featured on television, only to be punked out the few times they are.

I’m not talking about hair color. I’m talking about Asuka’s ethnicity limiting her main roster success. Yes, which technically goes back to the blondes as you listed Emma as an example of someone who dominated Asuka in her debut match in both NXT and SD. I used Emma to point out that even at her newest, even when she should have been booked at her most impressive, Asuka was bumping heavily for someone who be fired in a matter of days. It should have been an early indicator of Asuka’s value in certain eyes.

Emma was kicking Asuka’s ass during Asuka’s first two matches even though Emma would be released that same week. Asuka was never a bulldozer outside of jobber matches. She weathered the storm and beat down her opponent that is how all of her NXT matches were structured.

Plus, what most seem to forget, is that asuka was always booked like this. She had competitive matches with people in NXT outside of the no named jobbers.

She weathered the storm and beat down her opponent that is how all of her NXT matches were structured. It’s still her debut match. That’s still someone that was about to be fired days later. They did the match twice and Asuka was on her back for a lot of it. I understand that Asuka was never a bulldozer, though she bulldozed Dana in her NXT debut and her matches gradually grew more competitive, but in her main roster debut she was not presented as a big deal. Especially compared to Ronda who squashed Alexa to win the title. The same Alexa who went back and forth with everyone. In retrospect, it’s clear to me why that is.
