You’ve got to feel for Braun. From being a sure fire main eventer and a guy crowds were going nuts for and wanted to beat Lesnar..to this horseshit. I don’t even know the names of the two guys, or what even the point of the feud is. But a crowd chanting “boring” two weeks before Wrestlemania isn’t a good sign.
Is this really the best thing they could get Braun to do?

Its become some weird rule that Strwoman has to be involved with meaningless nonsense at Mania apparently.
-Long segment with the Rock at 32 -ATGMBR at 33 -Tag Team match with elementary school student at 34 -ATGMBR, now with non wrestling comedians at 36
I assume he'll be doing some segment and/or match with the likes of Hornswoggle come 36.

I gave it a chance yesterday, intending on watching the promo, but immediately started pounding down on the FF button on my DVR after a minute or so. I cannot wait for this to be over with.

I'm curious how a pair of comedians whose whole thing is being on a live show are such horrifically stilted speakers. They couldn't sound more phony if they were holding the script the whole time.

VKM: Okay, pal, did you study up on how this all works?
Colin Jost: Yeah, I'm a writer, I got it.
VKM: I mean, you do have all that access to Andy Kaufman's work at NBC, right?
Jost: I SAID I GOT THIS!!!! JEEZ!!!

I like it but I think Micheal Che and Colin Jost are really funny, and just don't have much time for Strowman anymore for anything but goofball storylines like this.

Yeah, this isn’t really bothering me. It’s definitely had it’s awkward moments. But I’ve been ok with it as a whole.

Remember less than a year ago the SHIELD basically had to reunite to stop MITB Braun from destroying Roman for the title? That was a fun and interesting storyline.
Now look where we are

It's largely due to them working on Weekly Update, which is often the lifeblood of Saturday Night Live, and working with SNL writers. When they're on WWE programming, they're stuck working with WWE writers. As you can probably guess, there is a difference.

I don't get this at all, they aren't famous enough to grab any real outside attention and not remotely entertaining enough to enhance the enjoyment of existing fans. My question is simply, why do this at all?

So they're also used to material they've already written themselves. That's also, you know, usually good.
I'm not sure how WWE handles backstage segments, but SNL also has several rehearsals during the week. I doubt WWE has that much prep time.

I think Braun is the worst part of this. I got second hand embarrassment when when roommate walked in on this segment. Braun was so corny.

Now look where we are Ironically, that was the beginning of the end for Braun since that led to him turning heel and getting paired with Dolph and Drew for some reason.

My question is simply, why do this at all? I’m going to come out and boldly say WAY more people are aware of what happened on SNL on Saturday then what’s happening in WWE, at least from the sites that cover such a thing I see on social media that aren’t wrestling. On the flip side....I mean, USA’s owned by NBC so...contracted crossover? *shrug*

As best I could tell doing some digging it seems like of late the show generally does about seven million viewers. Substantial, but not really gigantic for network TV and that's still only actually about 2% of the country watching it, and from what I understand it has basically no international presence. There's not really very much room to attract anyone through this, especially since I really haven't seen much of anywhere bringing up that it's even going on. And even if it does since it's going to be in the Andre people will probably just watch it on Youtube and that'll be that. Like, it really seems like if this isn't an NBC thing then it's just Vince going, "What's cool with the kids in New York?" and it being the first show that came to mind.

In that regard, I get that and it makes more sense that way. From what I remember, the UK version of E! was showing that and Jimmy Fallon but I have ZERO idea if that’s the case still since I haven’t been an avid TV watcher in yonks.

I like those guys in their weekend update but this feud is weak. I watched the segment and saw what they were going for, saw what they were hoping they would accomplish but the whole thing just kind of fell flat.

I'd rather see Braun feud with the short lived Dicks tag team from mid-2000s WWE:
