So, literally half of the Yankee team is on the IL with Gary Sanchez landing on it with a calf strain.
In other news, J.A. Happ and Chad Green have been utter shit early on this season. I suppose in Green's case, team's are going to get wise to the fact that you only throw the fastball.

At some point the Yankees are going to be healthy, and put it all together, right?

Don't worry about it too much, They'll just have to change their offense from 'Swing for the fences, Homers or nothing' to 'Swing for the fences, Homers or nothing'

CC Sabathia made a triumphant return today with 5 shutout innings and only 1 hit. In fact, that was the only hit any Yankees pitcher gave up, with no walks.

Ron Darling will have an operation for a mass in his chest and will take a leave of absence.

Greg Bird on the IL with Plantar tear His time with the Yanks is pretty much done Bring on Mike Ford. Maybe he can actually, I dunno, hit a mediocre fastball? It does serve as a cautionary tale about the labrum tear. Bird lost the ability to hit fastballs after his first injury kept him out through 2016. I pray that the same fate doesn’t befall Andujar. And when the f*** is Hicks due back? If absolutely nothing, I need Gardner to not be in the lineup.

Bird had a good 2 months when he first came up and a good postseason (last year or year before) and that's really been about it. At least with Andujar can say he's had a good couple of months but how he comes back will be big considering he's coming off injury and still only will be in his 2nd year
Hicks supposedly was supposed to only have the 10 days but he had a set back so he won't be good until May. Giancarlo will be back before him
The team won't be full strength until June or July which is when everyone is supposed to be back healthy including Didi

Please do not send Clint Frazier down when Giancarlo returns
Bret needs to sit his ass on the bench and be a 4th OF

Please do not send Clint Frazier down when Giancarlo returns Bret needs to sit his ass on the bench and be a 4th OF I would say that Tauchman would be the first to get sent down. When Hicks comes back, however... It’s kind of a shame that Frazier is such a poor outfielder from what I’ve seen of him in the Majors. I’d put him in CF if he had a sliver of aptitude to play there.

Yea he can only play the corner barely serviceable
Giancarlo is a good fielder and should be the field anyway, I hate how they used him DH a lot.
Essentially they probably will carry 5 OF's with 4 of them seeing good time and flipping in between the DH spot
Judge is a good RF and I think he could play some Center if they let him but Boone plays it safe

So the Sox send Blake Swihart packing and bring Sandy Leon back in part to help Chris Sale.
Sale responds by getting shelled by the f***ing Scranton RailRiders. It is still his best start of the season.
Now watch as Swihart catches on with another team and becomes the All-Star we were all expecting.
