Chris Rocco of SB Nation reports that the Mets are close to sending Zach Wheeler to the Astros. OF Myles Straw and RHP Bryan Abreu are in play.
Andy Martino of SNY also says it should be a busy day. Not sure if he meant the Mets or in general.

A little surprised Yanks aren't throwing Andujar name out their considering he is more expendable than Frazier
Yes, he's not playing this year but I think depending on the team that won't matter as much

I would assume this means they keep Noah Wouldn't make much sense to trade Noah and Zach and acquire Stroman who has less control than Noah and is older then him

Feels like they're blowing it up completely and it's come out they acquired Stroman to basically strong arm the Yankees on Thor (who is their #1 target.)

I mean, the only way this makes sense is if they feel they can keep Stroman on a cheaper deal than it would have cost them for Noah and they could make all these deals to retool the system, in regards to Yanks it would be Frazier/Diaz as top pieces in a Noah trade

MLB.com says that the Red Sox are out on the bigger relief arms like Diaz and Shane Greene.

MLB.com says that the Red Sox are out on the bigger relief arms like Diaz and Shane Greene. For the Mets, is it even worth trading him if you're not going to get absolute value on him I mean you made that Seattle trade to get him and took on Cano in the process so if I was the FO I would hope I could get the value I gave up for him The watermark for a great reliever/closer trade is how the Yankees turned Miller and Chapman to a bunch of young prospects which included Gleyber and Clint

To deal a player like that for an electric closer and an albatross contract, then trade the valuable part of that deal for a lesser prospect after half a season? That's peak Mets.

Which speaks to the whole thing of they should have stuck to rebuilding instead of that trade If you had got Diaz cheap and then flip him that's one thing. Yankees did that with Chapman in getting him from the Reds and then flipping him but he was in a contract year Diaz still has arbitration years left which is a ton of value so they have no real rush to trade him. Doing this Strowman trade was already a head scratcher so anything else they do is just part of the program

Wheeler to Houston is done per a Sirius XM report.
Ervin Santana scratched from his AAA start. Looks like he will take Zack's place.

Golly, it'd sure be nice if the Brewers were to pick up some help for our dumpster fire of a pitching staff. I think that'd be really swell if ah f*** it they're gonna get rid of some good pieces and bring in nothing at all because this team f***ing sucks and I wish Yelich, Hader and Cain would ask to be let out early so they can go to a team that'll actually win something other than ridicule.
This team f***ing sucks.

Astros and Giants are engaged in talks for MadBum The Astros will win the WS this year if they get him. Yankees will have no choice but to make a splash if Astros get Madbum That's a nasty 3 headed monster in Verlander, Cole, and Bumgarner who would be your 3 man

Latest updates: -The Wheeler to Houston deal was either a fake report or premature. It still appears likely -Rays are the latest team interested in Edwin Diaz. -Braves,A's, and Yankees interested in Tanner Roark. -Keibert Ruiz (One of the Dodgers top prospects) was scratched from his AAA start today. No word on why. -As of now, Syndergaard still expected to make his start tonight. -Nationals and Giants talking about Drew Pomeranz.

Less than 24 hours to go. I expect tomorrow to be pretty hectic. No more waiver deals. So teams have to get while the getting’s good.

I would hope so because I thought after the all star break would feature a lot of action I get the intentions of no more waiver deals but I don't think it will really lead to more deals at least right now I think moving the trade dealine back another 2 weeks might serve the intended purpose

This Yankee lineup is pathetic, you letting this bum shut you down? Do we need LeMeue that much, come one Boone how much rest does he need, put back in the lineup.
