Jericho didn't really say anything overtly negative about WWE, and WWE is hardly tyrannical for not wanting to promote a competitors product.

Is there a context on the podcast that makes him sound more sour grapes than these quotes do? It sounds like he's just giving straight information without editorializing and here he's getting beat up like he's picking a fight.

Why would he think the WWE would be willing to let him profit off their name and contracted talent when he's gone and set up in competition? He should have known from what happened to Colt Cabana that they punish guys on the outs with them using any means available to them, heck, he benefited from Colt losing access to anyone with a WWE deal more than anyone.

Honestly a lot of people hate on Jericho for shit like this, but I either laugh at it or ignore it. Jericho has never done something genuinely evil like how people act. He just acts like a drunken Douche sometimes in interviews

I think Jericho is just blowing it out proportion because he was able to get away with a fair amount in 2017-2018 bouncing between WWE, NJPW, and his cruise. Likely truth: he asked direct if they want 'his glorious presence' at the next big payout KSA show, and they declined. Looking forward to more straight-forward WWE bashing from him...and the hopeful eventual release from AEW so they can keep to message and stay away from that crap. Late breaking word from FANNN:
I have been banned from WWE's next show in Dallas. I have been told it is because I am attending the NJPW event this July and has nothing to do with me being too damned broke to afford a ticket. Furthermore they are digitally removing me from all crowd scenes from shows I attended, I think. It's hard to find me in the crowd shots to start with.

That's why people are giving him a hard time, trying to blow up a minor thing into a whole "I'm banished, I'm such a cool outsider" bit. |
