I've not really followed his career, bit he's already entertained me from what I saw so I don't hate him like everyone else and he was right here. Basically anybody who attacks the WWE's carny BS is a face to me.

While I agree with the sentiment that talent have been shafted by the Network when it comes to PPV payouts and royalties, Enzo probably isn't the guy to make that point. He made a tonne of money despite not being able to do basic things in the ring competently, and believes he should have made more... So nah.
If he were active in pre network times, he wouldn't have made it out of developmental due to his attitude and size. It's one thing being an unpleasant clod if you're 6'8", but Enzo isn't and the mid 2000s WWF wasn't a great place for new talent his size.

Let’s be fair here, Enzo made a ton of money because of himself selling merch, not because he was given a cushy contract.

Sounds like Enzo is making good points. Mods please lock this thread. We don’t want to give him THAT much credit

I guess he could be talking to other guys that were there about PPV payoffs pre-network...
but... he wouldn't have had any personal experience with it.

I'll grant Enzo that $2500 is a pretty inexpensive way to trend on social media, as brands have spent way more money for less results. The problem is that Enzo went on to draw about 50 people to his concert the next day despite everyone still being in town for Raw the next night, and as eloquently stated on own very forum, his music went double glad bag on the charts. So, it's very debatable if he even made the money back on his ringside seat.

I mean in order, that sucks, and, yeah he's right, but.. man's still a Grade A cockbiscuit. Ive been using the term "cock womble" to describe Enzo, but "cockbiscuit" has a very nice ring to it. I shall update my profanisaurus. I was inspired to draw a shitty picture of a Profanisaurus, but I'm afraid I would get in trouble if I uploaded it. So..just use your imagination I guess?

The PPV pay out issue is interesting. I haven't much idea of how it worked before the Network, but I imagine the wrestlers were already allocated only a small portion of the profit, while the company took the lion's share. Now, without any clear indicator of how a PPV has performed (I'm sure the Network records how many views a show gets, but I've no idea how quantifiable it is), and the money from Network subscriptions guaranteed regardless of how many watch, are the WWE deliberately low-balling the wrestlers, or have they actually reduced the percentage of a PPV's take that wrestlers get?

I remember in 2014 during (I think) Comic Con, Bryan was asked about payouts with the Network starting up, and he said something like “I don’t think anyone knows the answer to that”. That was five years ago so I’m sure it’s changed but it does seem like a way for the WWE to manipulate numbers if they choose to.
I also don’t see why Enzo’s opinion has to do with whether he’s likable or not. I think Vince McMahon is a bad dude but if he told me the sun was going to rise tomorrow, I’d say he made a valid point.

Enzo never had a ‘PPV payout’ pre-Network so who’s he to complain, really. This was my immediate thought. The f*** does Enzo know about pre-Network payouts? ...I didn't watch the video by the way. I can't believe that you guys are making me defend this jackass, but it is not outside the realm of possibility that he asked one of the guys that he shared a locker room with. It's not that hard to say, "Yo, Kofi or Randy! Are these checks similar to how it was in the days of PPV?"

He wouldn't have to ask, many of them were talking aloud about it for a while and not in a positive way

He was never near a PPV until well after the Network launched. Yeah, I'm sure some guys (Ziggler, Miz, guys of that level) got hosed, but Enzo never should have felt any blowback himself.

I got my first job making good money about a year ago. A few months ago, I filed my taxes for the first time in my life and got a little refund, which I was extremely happy about. Then, I started seeing news reports that there had been a lot of changes to tax codes and if I had been in the exact same position and made the exact same amount of money the year before, my refund would have probably been much larger. The refund that I had once thought was so good now seemed like crap, so I can certainly see how guys would be pissed. You work the exact same show, but on a technicality, you get paid less? Nah, that doesn't work for me, brother. You do not play with people's money. In the words of CM Punk, "Yeah, I made millions of dollars, but I should have made tens of millions. Deal with it." Also, look at the guy who is not paying you what you think he should be paying you in PPV bonuses. He is so strapped for cash that he is about to blow about $500 million on a destined to fail football league. Yeah, if I was any of the guys in the locker room, I would have serious questions about payments.

This man bought ringside seats to Mayweather vs. McGregor for ten grand and posted the receipt to make sure everyone knew. Seems a little disingenuous to complain about money now.

With an event only costing $10 per month as opposed to $40-60 depending on the show, yeah, the cut's not going to be nearly as much.
