Didn’t mid south have a helmet as the prize for one of their championships?

The original PROGRESS World title was a staff: And the tag titles were 2 halves of a shield: That’s some legends of the hidden table bullshit!

The FCW Women's Title was nothing more than a cheap tiara

WCCW Six man Tag Championship was a trophy at first I believe the NWA (or Mid-Atlantic?) Six Man Championship was also a trophy.

I'm sure there's been more than a few Brass Knuckles Championship trophies.

Huh so that’s where they stole it when Austin threw the ic belt to the river. The tossing a title off a bridge into the river angle was done in pretty much every territory at some point. Question - do they just do it? Or do they need permission from local authorities as they are essentially littering a river.

Sadly, the various Texas NWA territories with a "Brass Knuckles" title all had belts.

King of the WWF was a crown and cape. And yes, it was defended, hence how Duggan got it from Haku and then later how Savage got it from Duggan.

I know Prichard said one guy went and fished it out and tried selling it back to them. They told him it was his now.

First thought was the Smokey Mountain "Beat The Champ" TV Championship. Second was the ZERO-1 Fire Festival Tournament, Z-1's version of New Japan's G-1 and All Japan's Champion Carnival. The winner of the Fire Festival carries the Fire Sword until the beginning of the next year's tournament. Pictured is 2011 winner Daisuke Sekimoto.

The FCW Women's Title was nothing more than a cheap tiara Wasn't the tiara actually for the "Queen Of FCW" championship that was contested for at the same time as the FCW women's title (until they unified the two)?

The tossing a title off a bridge into the river angle was done in pretty much every territory at some point. Question - do they just do it? Or do they need permission from local authorities as they are essentially littering a river. Back then? They just did it. Late 70s/early 80s weren't quite as wrapped up in safety concerns and the like. The most notable of these angles was in Florida, where Paul Jones threatened to toss the Florida belt off a bridge if he won it at a TV studio taping. When he ended up winning the match, the plan was to just tell the fans it happened the following week. Except the fans refused to leave the studio until Jones lived up to his promise. A couple of hours later, the promoter told Jones to go through with it, and he and dozens of fans marched down to a bridge in Tampa, where he tossed it. Some others: Jerry Stubbs in Alabama Buddy Rose in Portland Ronnie Garvin with the Southeastern strap in Knoxville Lawler tossing Jimmy Hart's Gold Record This looks like it could stem from the Fullers, as the earliest known examples were in territories being booked by Buddy Fuller (Florida) and Ron Fuller (Southeastern). Makes sense for it to happen in Memphis Alabama, and then Mid-South (which was being booked by Memphis guys most of the time) from there. Portland I dunno about.

Due to Forensic Files, if I was a promoter, I'd be terrified if I threw something in a river, they'd find a dead guy with a title belt next to him and f*** up a crime scene.

Cody had the Ring of Honor ring. The WWF King of the Ring had a trophy the year Edge won it (and that famous belt Mabel never used). What are some other titles / championships that were represented by objects other than belts? Wasn't Mabel's belt something he had made himself to use on the indys after his (first) WWE run ended?
