59.99? I mean I know some places don't have high speed internet but this is NJ outside NYC. I can see the stadium from down the block? Who buys it on PPV anymore?

Who buys it on PPV anymore? That's what I've been wondering for the longest time. Maybe it's the 'bar and restaurant' option for places that want to air it for their patrons?

It's a set price no matter where you are and I think this maybe $10 more than 28 which was the last I think I bought. I think WWE will get about $10-15 of that which is part of why the price is so high. This is for those that don't have the speeds needed to stream or understand it, bars and business that want to show pay a much higher price I'm sure.

Still, cable and satellite are some peoples' only options and some people don't even have THOSE options, believe it or not in this day and age.
Then there are some ISPs with strict data caps...

Some places don't get the network or can only access it through expensive cable packages (like here in Canada) so it's possible this would be their one time a year splurge. There is also the lack of access to high speed internet, particularly in rural areas. I live in one of the most populated regions of my nation so it's easy to forget that not everyone here has internet capable of streaming anything decently but that has been a recurring problem for a fair portion of our population. Strangely enough I could probably go see it at my local cinema for far cheaper.

My wife was telling me earlier about a guy she knows who is buying it. She told him about the Network and he said he knew about it but couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of signing up for it.
So, those sorts of people as well.

Yeah I’m not sure. My and my wife’s parents both live in the sticks in rural Wisconsin and they each have internet fast enough to run the network and a device that would put the network on their TV.
But if people are buying it, they may as well keep offering it.

So, those sorts of people as well. I had a coworker back when it first launch who would do this. He claimed it was easier than remembering to cancel and them charging him for months. I didn't want to point out that it'd take 6 more months before it would cost him more, during which he would have had access to backlog and 15 new ppvs, he seemed set in his ways.

Bars and restaurants don't pay the $60 fee, they have to pay a different fee. They're supposed to pay enough to account for everyone in the restaurant who could possibly be watching it (or at least this is how it was explained to me by a former restaurant manager when our bartender asked why we didn't order UFC events like other bars in town)

Bars, restaurants, essentially any commercial enterprise pays per seat in their establishment for any commercial PPV. It's not like 60/per seat, but you pay x per seat at a discounted rate.
The only people who should be paying for it at this point are people who don't have access to high speed internet. Hopefully at some point, we in the US will get to treating broadband as a utility rather than a luxury.

$65 here in Canada. f*** that noise. It’s the Network all the way. It’s a channel on TV and off I go.
