Taker's probably my favorite of all time, I don't think there's a single time I've looked forward to watching him since he came back melting and barely able to move in 2009. He has done great stuff since then, not denying that (though I will deny any of it's happened since his second Hell in a Cell with Lesnar), but really ever since that point I've been plenty ready for him to hang it up.

If there was an Undertaker entrance on an 8 hour show I think I genuinely would have started crying

He should retire next year so he can say he performed for 30 years in WWE.

Nah. He’s done more than enough. I don’t want him risking his well being for wrestling anymore. They could have him just appear to squash guys but that’s kind of pointless because it’s going to make anyone they put him against look bad. That doesn’t benefit the person that’s sticking around long term. I wouldn’t mind if they had him dispose of someone who was leaving. For example they could’ve had him squash Ambrose and that could’ve been the reason for him leaving. Undertaker took him out. Then you would probably have people expecting Rollins or Reigns to avenge him so it wouldn’t really work. WWE doesn’t like to give send offs to the talent that are leaving too often anyway.

He is my all time fave-but no. He has been such a non-entity on tv for so long now that his presence was not missed at all. As others have said, just let him headline an HOF class and be done with it.

Absolutely not. I'm good on Taker now. He's a legend but he's made his claim already.

HHH, Kane and Taker absolutely need to retire gracefully and go away. Say what you want about anyone on the current roster, no one would ever have a train wreck of a match like they did at Crown Jewel.

As a life long fan, no. he blatantly can't go anymore and it's just sad when he tries. I prefer to remember the good stuff than have him turn into wrestling's Brett Favre.

A lot of you know how old school I am, but watching this year's WM, it seemed to me that they should stay with the upcoming stars and who they have today.
I thought Triple H and Batista tried hard, but the card would have been just fine without them. Old school Cena worked better than Taker would have that night.
A lot of the fans seem to not really know about the older wrestlers, nor do they care.
I'm one of the biggest Hulkamaniacs ever and I even thought that his appearance didn't have the pop that it did before (Yes, I know why a lot weren't crazy about it, but time is moving on fast regardless)

No. I haven't really enjoyed him since 28. "you should have already hung it up dude" at 30. Said my goodbyes after 33 with the gear left in the ring. Glad 34 happened though because f*** that 33 match...
Yeah it's time. It's been time for years. Long past missing him when he's not around.

Definitely one of the greats, and missed. Of course he's given a great great run, nobody could ask for more. I would enjoy him showing up and doing a segment or another quick match next year though, maybe an official retirement. Whatever he wants, but I do want him to be as healthy and happy as possible in his retirement years.

Taker had so many years being a huge part of the show, I think it's vital for the health of the show that it be allowed to move on from its past. There's too many people to get on the card for overlong nostalgia segments.

Also I remember saying in February that it'd be the funniest shit ever if they left Undertaker off Mania so that he could do the Saudi show afterwards and haha wow I suck

I mean, if he had a "match" where he just tombstoned a guy, I'd have been fine with it, but I can't say I missed it, and I definitely can't say I missed him "wrestling".

No. He's one of my all time favorite wrestling characters, but WrestleMania 30 should have been his final match. Once the streak was over, his WrestleMania matches didn't seem to have much at stake. There could have been stakes built up again if he was a regular, but at that point it wasn't an option health wise.
WrestleMania 31: Taker vs. Wyatt was a good idea, but a year too late. Wyatt ending the streak would have been an interesting choice. It would have been riskier, because Lesnar was already established as a beast, so there was less risk of the streak ending being a letdown. However, Wyatt ending the streak could have been the beginning of The Wyatt Family rampaging through WWE and trying to destroy everything the fans cared about. It could have really been an effective passing of the torch to the next horror movie character of WWE. Instead, we get the match after the streak is over, and it doesn't seem to matter as much.
WrestleMania 32: It was an excuse for Shane to fall from a great height again. Undertaker didn't seem to be there for any reason other than "it's WrestleMania".
WrestleMania 33: It was clear in this match that Undertaker couldn't go in the ring anymore. WWE should have committed to a full fledged Roman Reigns heel turn rather than what was essentially a wishy washy "boo me or cheer me, whatever". WWE trying to go against the fans on this has done more damage to Reigns' character in the long run.
WrestleMania 34: Like Wyatt vs Undertaker, it was WWE striking long after the iron was hot.

I still mark for the ~BONG~, but once the old dude with the terrible hair comes out, it just reminds me that I need to call my dad.

They could have done his entrance during the Reigns-McIntyre match, on a split screen, and then immediately had him leave again. Everyone wins.
