I didn't miss him, really. Then again, I remember the first few Wrestlemanias that didn't have him involved, and they were just as big for moments as anything the Undertaker did.

Every mania should start with him marching to the ring and raising his hands slowly as Cole explains that it's the only way they know how to turn on the lights for the event.

He's one of my all time favorites.
That said I didn't miss him at mania at all.
There really wasn't a place for him and adding yet ANOTHER match to the overloaded show would have been awful... especially if Taker's last match is anything to go by.

Man, it just did not feel like WrestleMania without him. While I never want to see him wrestle again, I think that they made a mistake by not putting him in the Hall of Fame this year. There is no guarantee that he will be around next year and I think it would have been nice to have him come out and wave to the crowd or something. Forget WrestleMania 28. Forget the end of the streak. THIS was the end of the era. This is my default answer whenever Taker wrestling again is brought up: He's my absolute favorite of all time from the time I was 6 years old, at least. He's done everything there is to do at least once. He's had some killer matches and he's also had some duds, but he went out and always was a pro. No Boo-boo face, no "working the marks". But he's done. I get scared and I get sad watching him, because you know his body is a wreck. The last flash of brilliance was pull-apart feud with Brock. He should have retired after curb-stomping Cena at Mania.

They need to move on.
There is a weird irony that all the veterans of the Attitude Era have outlasted all the young guys. Heck, they outlasted the young guys have the NEXT generation (MVP, Carlito, Masters, Kennedy, etc)
